L’unica cosa che si potrebbe migliorare (ma penso sia un problema di qualsiasi posto così vicino al mare) I cattivi odori di umidità e delle fogne provenienti dal bagno.

"The hotel is great and in an amazing location which is right inside the airport. Staff were polite and amazing, great buffet breakfast, there is mini zoo which had wildlife such as monkeys, crocodile, tortoise, parrot, ostriches, peacocks etc. The rooms and facilities was great and it was a great stay. They provided free shuttle to the airport which is a bonus."

The pool could do with a bit of cleaning.

Il cibo.. un po' per la difficoltà a reperire materie di buona qualità, un po per la scarsa fantasia degli chef... diventa monotono. L'animazione Italiana veramente penosa a confronto di quella portoghese solo la mattina e freccette, bocce, pallavolo, carte.. Paragonarle sarebbe come vedere una recita di 5 elementare contro il Circ Du Soleil.. Imbarazzante!

"The location is excellent, right on the beach with reef full of fish, turtles within easy reach. Staff was very helpfull dealing with our canceled flight and helping us find alternative way back to Noumea."

We visited in rainy season season so we got stuck in the room one whole day. Facilities are a bit tired and could do with refreshment.

"The villa had great privacy, beautiful landscaping, a good layout for our group. It was well-equipped with essentials for cooking/serving. The salt pool was perfect for cooling off after a hike. It was just big enough and always seemed to be at the right temperature. We were delighted by fireflies, tree frogs, bats, local birds, and even a shy ginger cat that wandered past once or twice."

THE ROAD- while we expected a rough access road from reading previous reviews, the construction during our stay detoured us through the banana plantation over an intolerably (for anyone with neck/back problems) rough track that was 4x longer. While the ocean (not a swimming beach) is close enough to hear, there is not much view. It is a peek from one corner of the pool deck, and the upper bedroom. But again, wonderful privacy. Also of note- there are no bug screens on the windows. It was perhaps an assumption on our part with the newer construction, but the mosquitoes did cause some distress, especially for one member of our group. Bring bug spray, After-Bite (anti-itch), and Benadryl if you are prone to reactions.

L’ho prenotato perché pensavo di poter usufruire della spa dopo una giornata intera nel sito archeologico ma è tutto a pagamento compreso il bagno turco (mai visto in un hotel 5 stelle). In più la spa è quasi inesistente. Non funzionava il riscaldamento nella nostra stanza (cosa non piacevole a Febbraio) e dopo varie discussioni e diverse versioni sui fatti con il personale al telefono ci è stata consegnata una stufetta elettrica in stanza che chiaramente non abbiamo potuto usare durante la notte. Ci è stato proposto di cambiare stanza ma ormai erano le 11 di sera.

"Bella struttura posizionata sul più bel tratto di spiaggia di Grace Bay, a sud la spiaggia si restringe molto e risulta affollata. La stanza è un appartamento molto ampio con due stanze e due bagni con tutte le stanze che vedono il mare, anche se non sono beach front."

Da migliorare l’offerta del cibo, non la qualità, che risulta molto ripetitivo soprattutto a pranzo; la chiusura alternata dei ristoranti la sera non favorisce gli ospiti nella scelta dei pasti.

The Resort is very isolated, and expensive to go anywhere. You are actually quite captive. Off season is not the time to go here. There are very few options for activities outside the resort. Apart from an island tour which is well worth doing, you are really confined to barracks, book reading (no TVs) and waiting for sunset drinks. Yes, there is some good snorkelling, swimming and kayaking, but that's it. No TV's or DVD library, no games as such. So, it's an awfully long way to go, and very expensive for just this. Unless of course that's what you're looking for.

"The location is ideal for a first-time traveler to Kokopo it is right in the center of the city. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good, and the restaurant well located for a good view to the now quiet volcano in Rabaul and the Duke of York islands during the day."

La cena a buffet aveva tanta scelta, un pò meno per i celiaci ma erano indicati in chiaro gli allergeni. Molto bella anche la zona un pò più per gli adulti, piscina con acqua termale, area esterna con acqua riscaldata e l'aera saune. Bongo kids club bellissimo. Belli anche gli spettacoli serali nel periodo ancora di festa. La struttura è molto bella e nuova."

Non ci è piaciuto il servizio di pulizia nelle stanze, trovavamo solo il letto rifatto ma il bagno non veniva pulito, mai nei tre giorni in cui abbiamo alloggiato.

A little tired in places - could do with a bit of a spruce up such as a lick of paint on all the walls, new carpets in the common areas (stairs) etc. Seemed to be a lot of staff but not a lot of guests (although the staff were lovely).
