Lodge in Ungheria

"Hanno un Ecolodge nel deserto, Empty Quarter. Abbiamo prenotato per una notte ed è stata la ciliegina sulla torta. Il deserto offre tutto ciò che cercavamo. Silenzio. La guida é eccezionale, con professionalità ti porta laddove sarebbe impossibile arrivare da soli. Segue i tuoi tempi e sempre con estrema cortesia. Abbiamo scalato le dune a piedi e con il fuoristrada, abbiamo fatto il bagno nelle acque sulfuree, ascoltato la notte intorno al fuoco nel nulla… i miei complimenti e ringraziamenti allo staff. Tornerò presto."

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

"This experience was amazing being in nature while having a luxurious living space is a rare combination moreover we got to enjoy this wonderfull experience without any bugs this is one off the many positive sides of this compound I really recommend it especially for large groups and kids as the environment is kids friendly with emotional support animals like golden retrievers"

"Un servizio TOP. Il personale era molto professionale e gentile. Le tende erano comode ed accoglienti. Il Camp è ben posizionato lungo il fiume con ampi spazi verdi. Possibilità di fare 3 safari al giorno. Raccomandiamo in particolare quella della mattina con il Bush Breakfast. La nostra fantastica guida Dominic era molto competente e disponibile. Inoltre c’era la possibilità di attendere interessanti lezioni a fine giornata condotte da un giovane Masai sulla Fauna, Flora e Tradizioni locali."

"Beautiful surroundings, so calm. The host is incredibly helpful and kind. This refuge is his personal project, and you can see his passion. The surrounding villages are small but lovely to walk through. There are nice hikes possible, including to the peak of Mount Agou, the people on the paths will kindly guide you to your destination. They are truly kind."

The location on the map is slightly off, ask for a pin before you arrive to make sure you find the right place!

"Bella struttura sulla spiaggia di Ampongorinana, staff molto gentile e premuroso: camera ampia e ben ventilata con un bel balcone e bagno. Armadio con cassaforte, ventilatore. Possibilità di servizi extra (lavanderia) e escursioni direttamente prenotabili in struttura, ottima colazione."

"Beautiful place next to a river and the mangrove bushes. The lady at the service desk speaks very good English. That’s was very helpful. The excursion to the monkeys was very fun and the boat tour was beautiful!"

We had a cockroach in our room

"I loved that it was nestled in its own private space. There are 4 lodges in the vicinity and all have their own balcony’s that you can enjoy individually. Our water pressure was great. Also the unit was nice and clean."

Nothing: We actually didn’t book the transfers cause we had another vehicle organised however that fell through. But mama let us go first to the lodge and she’d wait at the airport. Lucky she got a ride back home from the family at airport. She has an immense amount of responsibility and knowledge of the island. As a local to Rarotonga people like her are very rare to be around. I am so grateful to have had crossed paths with her. Na te Atua I tauturu iakoe e Mama Manarangi. Maroiroi koe I toou oraanga. Meitaki atupaka kiakoe no te akonoanga ia tatou.

"In general all were super. My family and I spent a good time in this fabulous place!"

1. There was no Iron in the room (it is written in the room facilities) 2. Noisy neighbours (they celebrated birthday and used equipment for loud music and jumped in the pool)

"Bella struttura, dalla hall di ingresso alle camere (un po datate ma ok), il giardino con piscina era una favola, strepitoso davvero"

La struttura si trova fuori da La fortuna (30 minuti di auto) e gli ultimi 2 km per arrivare alla struttura sono da percorrere su una stretta strada molto ripida, che vi assicuro non è facile da percorrere di notte con pioggia e nubi basse, come capitato a me. Diciamo che la struttura offre il suo lato migliore con il bel tempo

"It is a unique carribean cottage, which is a little gem. It is a five minute walk to a lovely beach. We cooked in as the kitchen had everything one required. We had our meal out on the verandah next to the kitchen and watched the sunset. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. When we arrived she tried to book as into a restaurant but it was full so she took us to the local supermarket to ensure we would have a good meal. Keith was also really helpful and a great guy. We wished we had booked it for longer."

We liked it all.

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"Ho scoperto un nuovo angolo di paradiso in Montenegro, situato in montagna con una vista mozzafiato che affaccia sul mare e sulla città. La combinazione perfetta tra la tranquillità delle alture e la bellezza del panorama è semplicemente incredibile. I proprietari sono geniali e disponibilissimi, pronti a rendere il soggiorno il più piacevole possibile. La loro ospitalità, la loro attenzione ai dettagli e la loro cucina hanno reso la mia esperienza ancora più speciale. Questo luogo è davvero una bellissima scoperta e non vedo l’ora di tornarci. Consiglio vivamente a chiunque cerchi una fuga rilassante con una vista spettacolare!"

"Arrivare a Pico Bonito è come entrare in un piccolo paradiso terrestre. L'ambiente è pacifico e silenzioso. I colibrì saranno i vostri compagni di viaggio, insieme a tante altre specie animali. Il personale è premuroso e sempre disponibile. Una delle mie cose preferite è la colazione, soprattutto la marmellata all'ananas!! è uno dei nostri posti preferiti al mondo!"

Migliorerei la strada che porta al Lodge, ancora sterrata.

"excellent breakfast, efficient staff, nice location to visit Gent and other places. Good selection of restaurants nearby whereby the owner assisted in providing the available options. Linnen was good including the towels."

The showerhead is located halfway through the shower cubicle which meant that a lot of water came inside the bathroom while taken a shower. The ventilator didn't operate in the bathroom which meant that a small window was left open in the bathroom for ventilation. The drawback was ingress of mosquitoes into the room/bathroom. The lighting in the room could be enhanced, often we felt that the room was too dark.

Solo per trovare un difetto a tutti i costi, visto il grande spazio del bagno, sarebbe stata una buona idea mettere anche un bidet

Water heater present, but no warm water in the shower or bath. Bath didn't drain.

"Swietnie miejsce, blisko plaży, czysty pokój, wygodne łóżka. Na pewno nie dla każdego. Mi zalezalo na dobrej cenie, ciszy i bliskosci plaży."

"Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"We were spoilt with kindness…the staff went out of their way to look after us - even cooking a birthday cake for me at very short notice. The property was very comfortable as and clean and our room looking out into the water holes that the animals came to in the evening and mornings"

"Haiko is a wonderful person who welcomed us upon arrival at the lodge and provided us with excellent directions to the island's beaches and restaurants/bars. The property is strategically located for reaching both the stunning northern beaches and Arikok National Park. We appreciated the lush vegetation surrounding the lodges and the chirping birds that accompanied us during breakfast. Each lodge respects privacy and is equipped with all the amenities, making it a delightful stay."
