"The wood house is nice and it also has a private garden with a table. All the location is independent from the main house and it is in the center of the village."

It is not easy to communicate with the owners, English is a bit of a problem... The kitchen space is quite limitated.

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

"This is a place where everything works -- gas, electric, water. Enough pots and pans for everyone. We enjoyed the stay. The place was clean, sheets were clean, towels and soap present, and there was working cleaning tools to keep the place clean. The host had thought of everything. The WiFi was superb. And the park outside is well-maintained and enjoyable."

A work desk was missed. Indoor parking not available, but the are is quite safe and secure.

"Il cottage è un esperienza che può piacere o non piacere. A noi è piaciuta tantissimo sei immerso nel verde lontano da strade trafficate. Si sente il rumore della natura, il canto delle galline e molti gatti girano intorno alla casa. La casa è molto carina in cucina c'è tutto il necessario, le camere sono spaziose e il bagno è ok. Ottimo anche lo spazio davanti a casa per mangiare o rilassarsi"

Rory and I came across this listing one evening while planning a birthday trip to Spain, it turned out to be the most incredible celebration delivering way above what we’d expected. Some of the highlights were the last 10 minutes off road in the SUV we’d picked up at the airport to reach the farmhouse, the humongous fireplace we cooked on must nights, the short walk up to the swimming pool area which felt like being in a completely different property, the silence and light. Ángeles is a wonderful host who made sure we had everything we might need including a bottle of her brother’s delightful home made wine. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, you just must book it!"
