Lodge in Bolivia

"Beautiful views of Apia. We literally had the whole place to ourselves. It provided a calm quiet space that we didn't expect."

Unfortunately there were a few minor issues when we arrived, that eventually got sorted. Given the circumstances of the week prior & sending our condolences to the family, I'm not surprised things were a little off the mark. A broom in the unit be great to keep the floors free of bugs & dirt. We still loved our stay regardless.

"Beautiful surroundings, so calm. The host is incredibly helpful and kind. This refuge is his personal project, and you can see his passion. The surrounding villages are small but lovely to walk through. There are nice hikes possible, including to the peak of Mount Agou, the people on the paths will kindly guide you to your destination. They are truly kind."

The location on the map is slightly off, ask for a pin before you arrive to make sure you find the right place!

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"Un posto meraviglioso , un oasi di pace e tranquillità, la gentilezza e professionalità di tutto il personale rende il soggiorno ancora migliore , le villette sono stupende e confortevoli , la colazione veramente ottima , e la proprietaria Agnes una signora davvero cordiale simpatica e premurosa , e anche la figlia , grazie davvero per il miglior soggiorno mai avuto , torneremo sicuramente"

"The room was incredibly comfortable and clean. It was very quiet and we felt like home. New AC, clean and well attained. The surroundings are excellent as well as the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. Accessibility was good. It is a little far from the city but there is a bus stop about five minutes from the property where the Airport bus stops. A rental vehicle would be recommended. We knew that and the remote location was very soothing for us."

The outside property had some very minor issues; it felt a bit barren and the pool could‘ve been better maintained. We would have liked simple room cleaning very days without having to ask for it because it made us feel a bit uncomfortable to request it. Plus, to avoid all these plastic bottles, we would have appreciated a shared water filter station at the property.

"La struttura è nuovissima e ben arredata in stile Coloniale . Colazione in camera fatta sul terrazzino adorabile . I proprietari gentilissimi e disponibili . Posizione fantastica perché tutto è raggiungile in circa 10/15 minuti di auto : i beach club piú belli , i ristoranti più interessanti , Gustavia e l’aeroporto . Pulizia giornaliera perfetta . Asciugamani grandi e morbidi . Grazie di tutto !"

"La posizione e le stanze sono incantevoli. Personale molto disponibile e premuroso."

"Tende e struttura principale meravigliosamente arredate, personale super accogliente (un encomio speciale a Zied, grande professionista e gran bella persona), workshop e attività organizzate molto interessanti, a contatto con la natura, cibo servito eccezionale. Attenzione particolare a fare sentire gli ospiti in un ambiente protetto, senza orari prestabiliti per la cena e per la colazione... Un luogo dove prendersi del tempo, dove ascoltare i propri ritmi e staccare dalla frenesia della città."

La piscina era chiusa per manutenzione e non era segnalato da nessuna parte. Il prezzo è davvero molto molto alto, anche per lo standard europeo e nonostante il personale ci abbia omaggiati di alcuni workshop e un massaggio non so se vale veramente quanto costa.

"Great location, very quiet area, 5mins to walk to the seafront. Excellent for those who are looking relax and spend some quality time with themselves or family."

Room was a little bit smelly but it wasn’t a huge issue for us

"Struttura del lodge, che ricorda una grande baita di montagna, l'atmosfera generale ( bellissima la grande hall con il caminetto), pulizia, comfort della stanza, disponibilità dello staff, la dolcissima cagnolona mascotte del lodge! Turtle Rock si raggiunge comodamente a piedi con una camminata di circa 40 minuti. Consigliatissimo!"

"La camera era molto spaziosa e pulita, e il letto comodo! La posizione molto vicina alla spiaggia e ai ristoranti Novi e Sinbat sono stati incredibilmente gentili e disponibili, abbiamo passato dei giorni meravigliosi Ci hanno aiutato ad organizzare le attività e ci han portato a fare un giro di esplorazione dell’isola! Torneremo!"

"Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"We just had a 3 night stay here. The cottage is very unique - little rustic with a lot of character . We enjoyed the full kitchen and were able to cook great meals and enjoyed eating outside on the large wrap around deck. You feel like you’re in a treehouse and very secluded. Yet you’re very close to the beach and town. We loved the big spacious bathroom and having hot water was a bonus! Jac-Luc was a great host and communicated well ensuring we were comfortable and had what we needed. We felt it was great value for money and would recommend and we’d stay again."

"Wow! This is the perfect place to relax in nature along the beautiful Zambezi River. Superb service and amazing rooms. We truly felt well taken care of from beginning to end during our stay at Tongabezi."

"Everything. In summer, when the site is full of campers, the view from the cabin would be obscured by tents. But, end of September, when we visited, our view was green lawns sloping down to the river. Lovely."

Booking.com told us it was 7 miles from Vianden. It is not. 22-24 depending which route you choose. We had planned to go the 7 miles back to Vianden for dinner, but 22 winding miles? No.

"The property was maintained well. Unfortunately, at times there were dog poop in the walk way. Thankfully that was later cleaned, but I hope the dogs can be poop in the bushes and not where the guest walks."

The female owner was not helpful when asked for a meal/something to eat outside of the lunch hour. Also, at times she was overheard having loud fusses that could have been done in private when the guests were not around.
