"Good basic accomodation which is great value. Very clean. Large comfortable bed. Really nice, freshly cooked breakfast. Staff were welcoming and freindly. The area is run down but then from what we saw not much different to most other parts of San Jose. Close to Gran Caribe bus station. Walls are a bit thin so probably great not for light sleepers."

"We were lucky to get a free upgrade. Our room was top floor on the corner with sea views and a wraparound balcony. The room was large with two double beds. We had coffee and tea making facilities, refreshed daily and daily room servicing. Breakfasts were good and the dining room was indoor/outdoor with seaviews. A great start to the day. The pool was a fabulour retreat after a hot day out too. Towels supplied."

"The staff almost to a person were outstanding, but especially the young ladies serving in the restaurant and the ever smiling maintenance dude that cheerfully ran to your side to deliver chairs to the beach. The location is right on the beach by the way. The front desk people including Danny were ever helpful as was Geo on the tours desk. The food in the restaurant was of excellent quality, but having stayed 12 nights got a little tedious."
