"Casa da Arvore è un posto bellissimo, in un borgo di grande fascino. Collocata a due passi dell'imponente castello e dalla chiesa, ora museo municipale, in stupenda posizione panoramica, la Casa è in condizioni perfette per allestimenti e per la cura con cui è gestito il fabbricato. Si affaccia da un lato su un ampio piazzale su cui è facile parcheggiare, nonostante ci si trovi alla sommità del borgo. Ogni dettaglio dell'arredamento e degli allestimenti denota un grande amore per la bellezza. Si gusta anche una formidabile colazione, che il proprietario vi serve personalmente con grande disponibilità e gentilezza. Oltre al voto massimo aggiungerei, se fosse possibile, anche la lode. È molto raro trovare una situazione che esprima come questa l'amore per la bellezza e una profonda passione per l'accoglienza. Esperienza indimenticabile."

"This was an exceptional experience. Right in the heart of Marvao with stunning views over the surrounding countryside Casa da Arvove is managed by a charming couple. Joaquim the key person could not have been more helpful , we even had an upgrade for our room which was exceptionally kind of him. Joaquim provided a wealth of informtion about the region and made some good recommendations on restaurants in Marvao. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we liked small details such as a daily resupply of bottles of water. WiFi good. Breakfast was a delight, freshly made scramble eggs, coffee, juice and tomato jam - delicious. A wonderful weekend."

"Access is not for the faint-hearted , a drive up hill into the heart of Marvao through very narrow cobbled streets with no room for error. Usual exit streets closed for repairs so drive back down hoping not to meet someone coming the other."

"The scenery from the shared balcony was truly breathtaking. There are a few restaurants in the village, but we heard they were fully booked, so we brought food from the town below just in case. The owner was very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful, with warm eggs, toasted bread, and his wife’s homemade jam — it was absolutely delicious."
