"We had an exceptional stay at Villa Vista Haputale. During our visit we were the only guests for most part occupying one of the four rooms, which made the experience feel very private and peaceful. Surrounded by nature, the villa offers beautiful views and absolute serenity, with several semi-outdoor and outdoor living areas to relax and enjoy the scenery. The staff were incredibly welcoming and took great care of us. Dinner was outstanding every night, easily on the level of a great restaurant while priced the same as elsewhere. As the property is set in nature, it doesn’t have hospital-style cleanliness and a few insects are part of the environment, though surprisingly there were very few mosquitoes and the staff provided incense sticks to keep them out of the room. Also suprisingly, villa offers decent wifi to post all the views while staying there. Overall, this place is a hidden gem and perfect for introverted, nature-loving travellers."

"Just something to be aware of: the villa is about 25 km from Haputale town, which surprised our driver. The main road is really good, but the final access road past the gate is quite rocky, so the trip from Haputale takes around 40–50 minutes."
