"We had a very spacious appartment. The location is amazing you can walk everywhere and start cross country skiing right at the appartment. For us it was a very nice stay and we would come again!"

Overall the appartment came into the years a little bit. Some lights were not working so well for example, the sauna was hard to get very hot and the fan in the bathroom did not work. We did not mind very much but maybe there should be some maintenance works done in the nearer future.

"The location is beautiful as there is a view on both the mountains and the sea. It is not walking distance to Jiufen which is a good thing because it's too busy there and I rather drive a few minutes for a visit and then back to some peace and quiet. The couple that owns and runs the hotel are very nice and helpful. We loved the traditional Chinese breakfast sitting outside the hotel looking at this amazing view"

And you’ll get to stay in a paradise indeed in your time there. Their breakfast are of home made jam, bread, preserved fruits. The eggs are all from free range chicken reared in their yards. And very good coffee too. You will get to know their lovely pet Rocky, a husky, and another smaller dog whose name I forgot. There’s also a cat Sisi. They will pick u up by car from your bus stop off . Depending on the circumstance they may even give you a tour of the local towns. The rooms are clean and comfortable. With free WiFi. All in all I couldn’t have found better place to stay and hosts! ☺️"

"Great place. The flat is clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need. Two terraces, the opportunity to eat breakfast with a beautiful view is priceless. The owners were VERY helpful and organised a place for us to store our two SUP boards by the beach. We didn't have to move or pump them up every day. THANKS On-site parking. "Boendet ligger i Regent som ligger lite högre upp i bergen jämfört med Freetown. Det gör att det är lite svalare och inte så tryckande värme som nere i stan. Det är visserligen en bit att köra om man ska in i centrum, men samtidigt är det inte så mycket bilköer som inne i stan. Värdarna tog hand om oss på ett bra sätt och huset vi hyrde hade rätt bra standard. Hög standard för att vara i Sierra Leone."

Jag har inte något som jag inte tyckte om. Möjligen att du måste ha tillgång till egen transport om du enkelt ska ta dig till och från boendet.

"We loved the view from our shady balcony, the beautiful nearby beach, the comfortable king size bed, and the modern kitchen. Our hostess Michela was so helpful. She met us at the airport car rental. We followed her to a grocery store and she waited while we did our shopping. Then we followed her to the cottage and she helped us with our luggage."

The air conditioning is only in the bedroom so the rest of the cottage could be uncomfortably hot. The walkway is uneven and a trip hazard. Several deckboards on the way down need to be replaced. No handrails on some stairs. Galley Bay beach is beautiful, but sometimes rough. A car is needed for travel to calmer beaches on some days.

"My room had everything one could desire for self-reliance. Nice folks who bent over backwards to accommodate my every wish. I couldn't have been more pleased. From the outside, the place looked simple, but the room itself was actually nicer and better equipped than the Sheraton in Brussels or the King Fajd Palace in Dakar which I had stayed in en route."

The street was a block in from the main road which was quiet and nice in the daytime but too dark to walk at night alone as a single lady.

Potrete godervi la terrazza sul tetto, e le piscine (queste ultime sono illuminate di notte), tutti gli ambienti sono molto curati: camere ampie, salotto ben arredato, cucina elegante e funzionale, fuori da ogni camera ci sono sedie e tavolino per abbandonarsi a un momento di serenità e l'ambiente esterno delle piscine è ben equipaggiato con sdraio, pagoda, gazebo con divano e bancone da cucina a vista. Dal primo piano della casa fino alla terrazza sul tetto si può ammirare una bella vista sul Nilo e immergersi nella pace della natura circostante. Lo staff è numeroso e molto disponibile e attento, Mohamed può organizzare tutte le attività possibili per voi: taxi, gita in felucca, gita sulla mongolfiera, guida turistica, visite guidate ecc.. Mohamed è inoltre molto attento a suggerire delle soluzione che evitino ogni tipo di problema al turista."

Nonostante il servizio sia molto buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo non è soddisfacente, la casa merita tutto il prezzo pagato ma il problema sorge per ogni attività aggiuntiva che richiede un costo molto elevato e non è chiaro se si possa contrattare o meno. In particolare, l'unico modo per muoversi è il taxi e le opzioni offerte da loro sono molto costose senza un apparente motivo. Inoltre, siamo stati invitati a non uscire non accompagnati nel villaggio, quindi è un pochino limitante non poter uscire di casa autonomamente, evidentemente non è sicuro, motivo per cui direi che la posizione non è ottimale, anche perchè è scomoda per fare acquisti di cibo per cucinare e cenare a casa. Infine c'è sempre personale che gira per casa quindi è difficile avere intimità.

"The location is great. A lot of nice things nearby if you have a car. The house was very clean. Friendly staff."

The walls are very thin. So you can hear all the neighbours. You don't get towels provided. Only bed sheets. This wasn't in the information mail. The reception closes at 18.00 and when we arrived at 18.10 It took us forever to find any contact information to get us checked in. The check in times in the email said check in between 15.00 - 00.00.

"The location is handy to town if you do not have a car it is a quick 5 minute walk to the main centre. It had all the necessities for our stay. We loved the deck and how quiet it was. The rooms were comfortable and having mesh windows reduced the mozzie bites. The images of the property are exactly what we you get when you hire this beautiful place."

Would have been great to have air con in the back room but the heat was manageable.

The bed was really hard. There were just a few things that needed fixing around the place. If these were resolved I would give it 10/10.

"Villa Blanche è una bella villa spaziosa, ben organizzata e molto comoda per una famiglia. A differenza delle altre due ville è leggermente arretrata rispetto alla spiaggia e bisogna percorrere un piccolo viale di palme per arrivare all’accesso diretto su una spiaggia meravigliosa e, in agosto, alla data del nostro viaggio, praticamente deserta. Fermate dei bus vicine e utilissime se non si ha la macchina per raggiungere il piccolo centro abitato con il market. A piedi si possono raggiungere la bellissima blu bay, che in agosto è anche riparata dai venti; il ristorante Bamboo si trova a destra uscendo dal cancello ed è molto carino ed informale. A sinistra invece il locale Naked per la colazione e i dolci. Tre tartarughe giganti, due gatti ed un coniglietto nero sono la ciliegina sulla torta! Host gentilissimo e disponibile, ha assecondato il nostro check out in ritardo senza caricare costi aggiuntivi. Cucina super attrezzata. Prese europee. Ottimo wifi."

L’ arredamento sarebbe un po’ da rinnovare, grandi potenzialità , spazi molto belli
