"Staff are super friendly and multi lingual. They take cleanliness seriously. Dorm beds have privacy curtains. Central location and only about a 15min walk to the beach and 10min to the ferry for Santo antão."

"Lovley clean room with comfy bed with privacy curtain and nice clean shared bathroom. I liked the key card operated roomy drawers saves having to use a padlock for valuables! Perfect location close to everything and a lovley rooftop bar and separate chilling area, would stay again !"

"The staff is realy kind and goes extra mile to meet your needs. The room was new opened recently. Nice balcony overlooking the street. Comfortable bed. Very cozy reception and dining area."

"They made a double booking on my room, but solved the problem by moving me to a totaly new room in the apartement on the other side of Mindelo. Wifi signal in the upper floors is not stable."

"I thought my days of staying in hostels were over (I'm 55) and I booked this a bit last minute as I was travelling and not too sure of my plans until the day before. It was very clean and comfortable and while there were shared bedrooms with dorms there were also some twin, triples and a single room option. So I had a room for myself with an ensuite bathroom and it was as nice as any hotel. Everything feels brand new and high quality. There is a nice cafe downstairs to get breakfast and other snacks / meals (including alcohol) although there is no communal place to cook your own food which some might expect in hostels but this wasn't an issue for me at all. The location is very central and close to the beach and shops / restaurants. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The WIFI is great! This was crucial for me because I had a couple of online meetings that I had to do and they were video calls and it was a strong and reliable connection."

"The hot water doesn't last too long in the shower, so you have to be quick! It was not a major issue for me though - it does get hot but only lasts a minute."
