Bed & Breakfast in Botswana

"The evening meal provided at a very reasonable cost was one of the best I've had in a b&b. All organic salad and vegetables and that was also true of the wonderful breakfasts that are included in the room price. The location was spectacular, amazing views over the valleys below."

There really wasn't anything to dislike as far as I was concerned.

"The staff were super friendly, the food was great. Good room, good AC, good price. Parking easy."

Bed a little harder than our preference but I think that’s normal! We supplied our own music, frequent power cuts but the generator kicked in quickly.

Personale gentile, camera spaziosa,pulitissima, bagno e doccia enormi, letto confortevole e poi la colazione ricca di ogni prelibatezza, dalla frutta allo yogurt fino alla tradizionale irish breakfast. "La struttura si trova in una posizione relativamente comoda (a 15 minuti a piedi dal centro cittadino) per visitare la città. La ragazza alla reception è stata molto gentile e disponibile e sapeva parlare l'inglese. Possibilità di saldare il conto in struttura, sia in contanti che con carta. La struttura aveva dei livelli adeguati di pulizia, vengono forniti asciugamani e anche dei campioncini di shampoo. Come si vede dalle foto, la struttura è un po' datata, tuttavia la trovo adeguata per un soggiorno breve☺️"

La stanza non ha aria condizionata, tuttavia presenta due abbaini sul soffitto che possono essere aperti. In una notte di agosto, tenerli chiusi significava morire di caldo ma tenerne uno aperto significava quasi avere freddo. C'era tuttavia un ventilatore. Un altro difetto è la presenza della moquette che, pur magari essendo pulita, sembra sporca. Nel complesso il livello di pulizia è accettabile. I letti sono molto bassi e un po' duri ma nel complesso abbiamo riposato bene😊

Le lenzuola e le trapunte troppo piccole e troppo corte per un letto matrimoniale. Mi sono svegliato durante la notte infreddolito. È sorprendente in quanto colei che gestisce è minuziosamente attenta ad ogni cosa. Peccato perché sarebbe stato un 10 come punteggio

"Una tappa in questo posto meraviglioso sulla spiaggia non manca mai nei nostri viaggi . Siamo tornati a casa Babi dopo un anno perché la bellezza di quel luogo è unica! Ideale per rilassarsi,comodo letto e camere curate,per non parlare della cucina e la colazione che mi sogno ancora)) Grazie mille e speriamo di tornarci presto!"

"Struttura bellissima in mezzo alla natura! La struttura è pulita e tenuta benissimo. Abbiamo avuto modo di conoscere Jan, il proprietario del posto insieme alla moglie, che è stato gentilissimo e disponibile per ogni cosa. Le stanze sono pulite e in linea con il contesto che le circonda. Sambatra bed and breakfast è un posto autentico con cibo buonissimo e personale gentile e competente."

"The house is in a glorious position overlooking the harbour on one side and open sea on the other with a lovely deck and swimming pool. Federica, the house keeper is helpful and cooks a good breakfast and other meals as requested. Bedrooms are rustic but clean and overall the house is peaceful and quiet but with enough guests to enjoy conversation if you want to."

As other reviews say, the road leading to the house is diabolical but it slows speeding down.

"Location was great. And nothing beats the local dishes for breakfast. The convience of the washer and dryer right in the apartment was awesome!! I think the gated area added to the security of the apartment, and so you feel safe staying there."

I think some basic essentials would be nice, like salt, pepper, and oil to cook with:-)

"The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful, the garden is beautiful, the bungalows are nice. The location is good, neighborhood is silent, but it is a bit away from the busy areas and restaurants, so you need a car (but you need a car on Mahe anyway, so that is ok). There is a tiny, silent beach in 2 mins walk. If you prefer kind, local guesthouse owners and hospitality over luxury hotels, this is your place."

The beds are a bit firm.

"Steve & Geri are terrific hosts, and the kind of people you want to meet when you’re travelling. They were very welcoming and accommodating, and fun to talk to. The B&B location is both convenient for arrivals, and well-placed for a walk along the southern coast beaches. The decor of the room is also well-suited to provide character. Enjoyed the breakfast."

"We got our room on the ground floor with a nice garden view. There are chairs in front of the room that we can use to enjoy afternoon sun and the garden. Good breakfast, sufficient choices, fresh and tasty. About 10 minutes drive to the nearby beaches, supermarket"

We didn't get a room by the pool as we had booked. Very slow service at breakfast. Old dusty furniture/kitchen equipment etc in public areas should be taken away for a better experience. The poolbar had very limited assortment.
