That Booking.com is proposing a property which is not available before April 2026. By doing so, I could have ended up on the island of Bequia on a Sunday night with nowhere to sleep.

Nothing. Had to walk up a couple flights of stairs - and I’m not used to the altitude, but that’s not the property’s fault.

"My sister & I stayed 4 nights here! 😍 We loved that… it was great value for money,… there’s a shop downstairs that opened 7 days till late… The location was awesome, right next to DMC, Vailoa, (the best fried chicken franchise on the island 😋)… the twin room was clean, and spacious with 2 x twin beds, sofa lounge, a balcony with clothes airer, a wardrobe, massive shower with hot water, toiletries & towels, kitchen sink with utilities, Tea/Coffee facilities, Aircon & free WiFi…and… The host, (Teresa), was very friendly & welcoming, always willing & present to help out when needed. 😃"

The only issue, was the accommodation is upstairs and carrying heavy luggage upstairs was a little challenging, otherwise, it was excellent value for money. 👍

"Appartamento moderno, ben arredato e pulito. La zona è molto tranquilla ma a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro. In cucina c'erano dei piccoli assaggi delle aziende del posto che abbiamo molto apprezzato. Anche grazie a questo, abbiamo trovato i negozi dove prendere i nostri souvenir. Segnalo che dopo la prenotazione verrà richiesta una caparra (più che legittimo, ma non avevo trovato la info su booking al momento della prenotazione). Caparra restituita in brevissimo tempo."

There is only one power socket in the sleeping room, and it does not work (well) as the holes are too loose to uphold any charging device. A multi-socket cable connected to a repaired socket would be appreciated. In the kitchenette, there is some coffee and tea provided, much appreciated. Oddly, there is no sugar but salt. Sugar would be more useful than salt.

We had some problems with the door that never worked for the whole stay but the reception staff was helpful

La cucina non era rifornita e la pulizia, in alcuni punti della casa, lasciava un po' a desiderare.

The single bed was not comfortable (on one side I was feeling that I was sinking). The A/C wasn't working because the remote control was missing. I contacted the host, he said that he will take care of it, but he did not. To be honest, it wasn't so hot and for most days I did not need the A/C. However, for the last few days of my stay I could really use the A/C, especially at night. The shared fridge could be cleaner. The bathroom did not have a window, it only had a kind of fan on the ceiling which did not work particularly well. As a result, some unpleasant odors persisted and the waters caused by showering could not evaporate very quickly.
