Aparthotel in Angola

"The hotel across the road where you check in and where breakfast is served is gorgeous with antiques all around you. The apartment was also beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a washing machine and the heating dried everything really quickly. The staff were lovely, they stored our luggage before check-in and ordered us a taxi to the train station when we were leaving. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide selection of foods. Yoghurts and juices were in glass containers, no plastic anywhere. Fantastic and really thoughtfully done. The location in Gamla Stan, just a few steps from the royal palace and Storkyrkan was ideal. I'd recommend getting a cab from the train station in winter if you have heavy luggage. The walk from the metro station is a challenge with the cobbles and snow. But the location is truly worth the effort."

Appartamento di nuova costruzione, arredamento non ancora completato, mancavano alcuni elementi ma per un breve soggiorno (siamo stati solamente due notti) non ci ha causato disagio.

"La struttura è molto carina, caraibica e piccola (solo 7 appartamenti di cui uno del proprietario) con una bella piscina. Tutto molto ben curato e pulito. L' appartamento è molto confortevole anche per tre persone: ampia cucina/soggiorno con smart TV, camera da letto con queen bed a baldacchino e bagno grande con doccia comoda. La gestione è affidata a Bocabay che risponde per ogni problema o richiesta H24, 7 giorni su 7 e sono molto reattivi."

Nulla da migliorare per la struttura. Purtroppo è un po' distante dalla spiaggia (15 minuti a piedi) e sotto al sole è un problema.

"The place was very, very quiet (you only heard the rustling of th sea) and the view on the sea was extremely beautiful, one of the best sea views I ever saw (and I travelled a lot!). When I was there I also saw very many butterflies. The room was well equipped with fridge and tea facilities. The lady can make good meals. The village of Sauteurs is only half an hour walking from the place over a quiet road. Sauteurs is a little dull but has a certain Caribbean charm."

There is no airco. The cottages are on a slope, so sometimes you have to climb from your cottage to th reception and restaurant.

"Per poter mantenere il paradiso tale, i proprietari di casa prestano molto tempo alla cura degli spazi. La stessa attenzione è riservata agli ospiti. Ci siamo sempre sentiti a nostro agio e ogni richiesta ed esigenza è stata assecondata. Il posto in sè è bellissimo - basta guardare le fotografia - ed il calore dell'accoglienza non la dimenticheremo. L'appartamento era nuovo, funzionale e piacevole allo stesso tempo e ovviamente molto pulito. Lo suggerirei sia a chi cerca un punto di partenza per visitare i dintorni, sia per chi deve soggiornare più a lungo."

Niente. Come segnalato, la parte finale della strada è un po' impervia, ma raggiungibile senza problemi sia da moto che da automobili.

"Beautiful territory, nice stuff, excellent location, proximity to the beach. Absolutely beautiful place to stay close to the old port, very convenient for the kids to swim. A bit outside of the city and I loved it! Walking distance to the kite beach or shell cemetery. Enjoyed to be surrounded by so many flowers on the territory. Definitely good value for the money. Book in advance!"

The kids bed wasn’t really comfortable and was somehow uneven.

Avvicinarsi all' acqua e pericoloso. C'è da fare ancora. Ma si può trovare in vicinanza anche le attrazioni acquatici.

"We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the property - we felt right at home. He was very keen to host and you could really tell this in the way he interacted with us. Communication prior to our arrival was also very informative and friendly. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was amazing. So comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean and small touches around the room were cozy and well thought out. The surroundings are peaceful and our night stay was exactly what we needed after a big hike that day. Great for relaxation."

The hot water doesn’t last for very long but the water pressure is super good!

Al mio arrivo frigorifero staccato, bagno enorme ma poco attrezzato

"Casa molto pulita e dotata di tutte le comodità, ottima posizione proprio vicino alla spiaggia e non lontano da un paio di ristoranti ed un supermarket."

Non gradisco per una questione di igiene gli asciugamani marroni nelle strutture ricettive. In tre giorni non ci sono stati cambiati gli asciugamani, se avessimo voluto il cambio avremmo dovuto pagare una cifra extra, onestamente per quel che abbiamo pagato non è un gran servizio. Le docce erano aperte quindi durante il lavaggio l'acqua cadeva sul pavimento del bagno.

"We love the area, close to the ocean, the view is fantastic. We lived in Trou deau Douce 25 years ago at Valmarin. It was wonderful to be back and these apartments has so much potential, but unfortunately it’s not taking care of. The cleaning lady was very kind."

The apartments weren’t cleaned when we arrived. The underfloor apartment was full of black mold. The pool is not taking care of. No sunbeds. You could easily do a quick renovation, do some painting and take care of these apartments and it would be wonderful. Now we love this area and has lot of friends in Trou deau Douce so we wanted to stay there. We had no contact with the owners, they didn’t answer us, but the housekeeper/cleaning lady was nice and answered, she come and clean when we asked for it.
