Offering far-reaching views of False Bay and the Hluhluwe River, this lodge features spacious chalets that come with thatched roofs and exposed beams. The green garden has a swimming pool and terrace. The air-conditioned chalets come with mosquito nets and tea/coffee facilities. Each lodge at Hluhluwe River also has a covered wooden deck appointed with chairs and a coffee table. Mkhulu's house offers self catering facilities, but meals can be booked at the main lodge should you wish to dine there. The property is situated on the western boundary of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Game drives to the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park can be arranged at an additional cost.

"Tutto perfettamente curato. Luogo immerso nella natura in compagnia di antilopi, scimmie e... una genetta che ci veniva a trovare tutte le sere. Cene ottime!!! Il personale molto accogliente e competente. Un posto da favola!! Ci torneremo!!"

"Lodge immerso nel Bush popolato di animali della famiglia degli antilopi che passeggiano davanti agli Chalet che sono molto confortevoli e godono di una buona privacy. Colazione abbondante e cene ottime con antipasto , portata principale ( con scelta tra pesce e carne) e dessert. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile a qualsiasi richiesta. Un grazie particolare a Lesley molto gentile. Noi abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti. Abbiamo visitato il wetland park a st Lucia ( ad un' ora di strada) e l' infolozi park gate memorial a 30 minuti."

"We were delighted to arrive after a long drive from the Battlefields to this quiet, secluded Lodge. Rebecca was ultra efficient in settling us in and after a few welcome beers we retired to our luxurious chalets before dinner. We had a beautiful dinner before heading to bed with a very start in the morning in the nearby Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. Our second night was just as enjoyable."

"Beautiful lodge good food great staff air con! If you come in your own vehicle there is lots around to do but if not the lodge can arrange. Could be tricky without 4WD as sandy access road. Lots of antelope and warthog on site. Access to Hluhlue GR and St Lucia Sodwana bay etc."
"Only issue is that they have bikes on the website but there aren’t any. I didn’t mind because it’s too hot for biking"

"Kaijaiki is a true gem! I have stood in unit 4 which was super spaciouse, had a lovely well equipped kitchenett and a beautiful, tranquil view onto the courtyard. The next door coffee-store where breakfast is served is so cozy and food is deliciouse. Manager and staff go over and above to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend it."

"We really enjoyed the accommodation. We were kindly welcomed right at our car for check-in and received plenty of helpful information and guidance. The room is beautiful, spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, (the bathroom is amazing!) The property is located on a farm, with lovely orchards and a beautiful garden, which we really enjoyed. It’s about 15 minutes from MQP airport; since we planned to leave very early, the host kindly packed our breakfast so we could enjoy it in our room before departing."
