With a pool and outdoor Jacuzzi, this boutique pensione is located just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants and shops in Kloof Street. Derwent House offers free fibre-optic WiFi and the property is not affected by frequent power outages as we have a full solar back-up system in place that powers the resort.. Each air-conditioned room at Derwent House comes equipped with a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. The rooms have a private bathroom with a bathrobe, slippers and amenities. There is also a self-catering studio available in the adjacent building. Guests can watch streaming services on device or ask the 24-hour reception staff to book a massage. The staff can also arrange shuttle services to Cape Town International Airport, a 20-minute drive away. Free tea, coffee and cake are available throughout the day on the sun deck or in the bar. When weather is chilly, guests can relax by the fireplace with a complimentary glass of port or sherry. Derwent House is situated an 8-minute drive away from the Table Mountain cable car. The V&A Waterfront, the Convention Centre and the beaches are a 15-minute drive away.

"Perfect stay at the Derwent House Hotel. Great location, lovely staff and comfortable bedrooms. I can see why so many guests come back year after year. Sadly we were both ill while there so weren't able to make the most of all the facilities, however we plan to return at some point in the future."

"Wonderful, elegant boutique hotel with a peaceful pool area. Fantastic breakfast and lovely staff. The manager and all the staff were so kind and accommodating when we were briefly coping with illness. Highly recommend!"

We have travelled extensively around the world, and Derwent House is the best place that we have ever stayed. I cannot praise the staff enough, everyone from front of house management to housekeeping were kind, friendly and helpful. Also, the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in, so we have come home fully rested. We can’t wait to go back."
