"Thank you to Eric and Amira. I stayed for seven days and had a tasty different breakfast every day. Althought I was at Dar Rita in one of the coolest weeks of the year my bedroom was always warm. Eric was very helpful in guiding me on the various expeditions I made from the hotel."

"It's ten minutes walk outside the main tourist area and it's easy to get lost trying to find it. Street signs are almost illegible, or non-existent, and there is no sign on the door. Google maps guided me initially to the wrong place."

"We loved everything about our stay in Dar Rita. From Amira's amazing breakfasts to Eric's tours, our hosts did everything possible to make our stay perfect. The rooms are very comfortable and I slept very well. The pool was just perfection. The location is just a short walk to the medina, great for shopping and eating. Eric arranged our trip on the pirate ship, which was so much fun. The (added but very reasonable cost) day trip around the island was a really good way to see all the highlights. "I’ve stayed in a lot of properties in a lot of countries, but the hospitality at Dar Rita is among the best I’ve ever experienced. Éric & Amira go to great lengths to ensure their guests feel happy, comfortable and welcome. When I arrived in Djerba, it was the festival of Eid al-Adha, which meant businesses were closed and it was difficult to find places to eat and drink. Éric & Amira very kindly invited myself and other guests to join them at their family restaurant, where we got to try loads of delicious traditional Tunisian food. Éric is also happy to arrange excursions, so on one day myself and my fellow guests (who I am sure will leave their own review) went with Éric to Tataouine, and another day around Djerba. While you’re at Dar Rita, you’ll be welcomed like a member of the family."

"This is truly the most friendly and welcoming place that I have ever stayed in. Nothing is too much trouble for Erica and Amira. We experienced the real Djerba, with fantastic traditional food, shown the best places to shop and guided tours around parts of the island."

"That we were only here for 3 nights. We didn't realise it was Ramadan. I read in other reviews that the pool was heated, which it wasn't. But this was not claimed in Dar Rita's facilities."

Amira even made us some tunesian snacks to try and Eric took some time to show us the city and gave us many useful hints and tricks which made out last day of our holiday perfect. "Nous recommandons cet endroit a 100%. L'emplacement est idéal (10 min a pied du souk et du centre ville). La maison est très charmante et typique, les chambres sont bien équipées, il y a tout ce qu'il faut et si jamais vous avez besoin de quelque chose vous pouvez demander a Eric et Amira. Ils sont de très bons hôtes et sont très investis envers les voyageurs qu'ils reçoivent. Ils sont de très bons conseils et donnent de bonnes adresses pour les restaurants, activités a faire etc. Gros plus pour le petits déjeuner inclus qui vraiment copieux, délicieux et qui varie tous les matins. Nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour a Djerba grâce à Eric et Amira, un grand merci."
