Sonho Non

"Joāo è un padrone di casa simpatico ed affabile e veramente molto disponibile. Il cottage, che a primo impatto può apparire spartano è in realtà essenziale e senza fronzoli. Letto comodo, bagni pulito e doccia calda, la vista sull'oceano è magnifica. Il cibo è delizioso, consigliamo vivamente di cenare qui a dei prezzi tra l'altro veramente correttissimi. Sonho Non è la base perfetta per esplorare l'isola in quanto Santana è a metà strada più o meno da tutte le località d'interesse. Bisogna comunque avere una macchina a noleggio o un autista che ti venga a prendere, anche se la prima fermata di taxi collettivo è a circa 500 metri dalla struttura."

"Per me non è stato un problema perché adoro gli animali, ma ci sono diversi cani di Joao che scorrazzano per la proprietà, quindi è bene che si sappia."

"Si tratta dell'alloggio migliore di Sao Tomè? Non possiamo di certo dirlo, non avendoli provati tutti. Quello che possiamo sicuramente dire è che lo consiglieremmo al nostro miglior amico o parente! Helena e Joao hanno contribuito in maniera sostanziale a rendere indimenticabile la nostra visita sull'isola, supportandoci in ogni valutazione e/o necessità ed offrendoci un servizio di ristorazione di ottimo livello, ed una vista magnifica. "Ci è piaciuto tutto! Le strade a Sao Tomé non sono mediamente illuminate, ed arrivare di sera con la propria auto richiede un minimo di attenzione."

"Everything about Sonho Non was amazing! I was travelling on my own and the property felt incredibly safe and welcoming. The owners Elena and João were very hospitable and ensured I had a great stay were also super helpful if you had any questions or needed advice. The food was the best I had in São Tomé super fresh and a nice mix of local produce and flavours with Portuguese cuisine. The rooms/lodges are incredible spacious with incredible views over the water and a very comfy bed. The property is particularly quiet (dogs on property do bark however this did not bother me at all they are particularly friendly). This was my favourite place I stayed on the island will certainly be returning. 10/10 recommend if visiting São Tomé could have easily spent longer here"

"Lovely spacious wooden bungalows with a big bathroom and stunning view from the terrace. The hosts were extremely friendly and the food was delicious. A quiet place to relax."

"Without car you need to get public transport to reach the next beach. The closest beach is just 20-25 minutes by foot, but not really to recommend."

"I stayed at five different properties/hotels during my 2 week stay in Sao Tome and Principe and I'm glad that Sonho Non was the first place. Really wonderful location overlooking the sea, a great introduction to the island. Really enjoyed my cabin, very simple yet comfortable and had everything I needed: a good shower, comfortable bed, mosquito net, and plenty of space to relax. Joao was a fantastic host, always willing to answer questions and talk about the island. The meals were also excellent, some of the best meals I had in Sao Tome (better than most hotels!) were served here, so make sure you enjoy dinner here. The chef also prepares a delicious breakfast each morning. I am so glad I stayed in a place like this rather than being holed up in some fancy resort at 4x the price. A really nice way to experience the island, especially if you have your own car so you can come and go as you please to explore."

"I didn't mind them, but there are a few dogs here that can bark quite a lot at night or be quite animated during meal times. This might inconvenience a few people, but personally I didn't mind and appreciated the 'security' that they provide for the place. They are well behaved and looked after."

The food provided was to a very high standard and we were provided with complementary bottled water daily. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and clean."

"If you don't like dogs, I would not recommend staying here as there were lots of dogs around most of the time and they could be quite noisy during meal times."

"A beautiful little slice of calm and beauty on Sao Tome. The rooms were clean and spacious, with great views out to the sea. The food (breakfast and dinners) were delicious- the best we had in Sao Tome. Sonho Non is also conveniently situated close to the capital (so not too long of a drive to the airport) but also good access to the South. Joao is a wonderful host."

"The bungalows are comfortable and the meals prepared at the restaurant are very special. The host João was super helpful and always available and with extra tips about how to explore the island."

"The outdoor space could be better cared for and tidied. Guests could use the space better if there were a few other areas on the property. The dogs give security feeling, but they could be a bit overwhelmed if you are not a pet friend. A car is recommended to travel to the property from the city and other points of interest, but there are also some tour options that can be arranged with the host."
