"I truly appreciated the direct access to the lake. The staff were so welcoming and attentive to my needs. One of them negotiated the price for me to get a ride tour of the town in moto bike. I received the greatest breakfast since long ago, with a great coffee."

"This place has a very relaxed vibe with great spots to sit at the lake and have a cold beer or enjoy your breakfast as you see the fishermen come in. The beds are comfortable and the lake offers a refreshing swim. Also the staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home."

"Beautiful lake views from the room (balcony), and from the breakfast / restaurant location. Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast service. Quality food. Places like Sagabay and Serena hotel are within a 10 minute drive (with scenic lake views)."

"This place has great location and it was easy to reach with public transport. Staff were super friendly. Room was clean with basic facilities. I got chance to witness Karaoke night where some youth were singing local Rwandan songs. I could get Indian food which was best ever I had in my life. Special thanks to cook who accepted my early Breakfast request and gave me Breakfast in Take Away Box before I checked out next day to catch my bus from local bus station. This is budget hotel and ideal for low budget travellers. It will be too much if someone expect luxury in this small price."

"The location and gardens are amazing and the staff very professional, friendly and helpful. Their chef is a wizard in the kitchen and the meals expertly prepared. And then there is the resident fur baby - Sparky, who welcomes you to the property! The Lodge is also conveniently located close to the Volcanoes National Park and there are little touches such as preparing snacks to take with when you go gorilla trekking and cleaning muddy boots that make the stay extra special. The lounge and dining areas are spacious and well-appointed. My room was huge and in the evenings the staff add warm water bottles to your bed and light a fire so the room is cosy when you return from dinner."
