"La posizione è ottima le camere hanno una bellissima vista sul golfo (almeno al 3 piano dove noi eravamo) e la struttura è molto piacevole con parcheggio privato. La discesa al mare (5 minuti a piedi) è anch'essa piacevole in un'area verde alberata. La spiaggia è molto ampia di sabbia molto fine. Con la macchina si raggiungono i luoghi principali dell'Algarve (tra le più lontane Faro a circa 1 ora). In 10 minuti di macchina si raggiunge il porto di Portimao da dove partono le barche per vedere la costa dal mare e le grotte. La suite che ci hanno dato ha ampi spazi ben strutturati."

"Una sera abbiamo cenato in albergo, ma non siamo rimasti soddisfatti: poca scelta e un pò scontata, almeno quella sera. Alcuni mobili andrebbero rinnovati, come anche la cassaforte (ancora con blocchetto e chiave). La televisione non si vedeva bene. La sabbia molto fine della spiaggia sottostante l'albergo, quando siamo stati noi rendeva l'acqua nella prima parte torbida e poco accattivante."

"We were warmly welcomed on arrival. The view is great and so is the location. The pool is very good and so is the tennis court. Supper was fairly good and breakfast is ok."

"The bathroom basin and bath/shower outlets were slightly blocked. Scrambled eggs are over cooked and dried out. There is no cover in front of the bathroom window, so privacy was reduced. The window in the bedroom has a Venetian blind, so there is a lot of light in the room throughout the night and full light from sunrise."

"Authentic Portuguese hotel, amazing spot, amazing views, and a 5 minute walk through and orchard to the beach. W or Tivolli this was not, but somewhere to switch off and be looked after it really was. The staff were fab."

"Not so much a dislike but minimal staff meant pool area wasn’t tidied as often, we didn’t eat dinner there but didn’t need to as 20 minute walk into town and beach restaurants. Slow paced, quiet, perfect for us."

"Excellent position and very quiet. Very good access to the beach via a lovely nature trail. The hotel is traditional in its style and outlook which is very refreshing opposed to new hotels where you could be anywhere in the world. This is a family owned and run hotel, Silvia is a lovely host, staff are a credit to her and the hotel."

"Absolutely stunning views with breathtaking sunsets and chilled atmosphere. Quiet area, lots of greenery, nice swimming pool and private garden exits to the beach."

"This place is meant only for those visitors who drive there. Location is fairly remote and there will be no taxi available from Ferragudo train station, local buses go only 4x a day. Furthermore, there is a slight 1990’ies vibe in terms of facilities and attitudes. Aircon was too old and too laud, didn’t do the job properly, so we slept with windows wide open. Most difficult part was eating and staff attitude to dietary restrictions. Before arriving I noted that one guest is gluten intolerant, but GF breakfast opinions were provided only 2 out 3 times. The dinner arrangements there includes set menu that consists of 5 elements (soup, salad, bread & pate, mains & desserts) and one set price. But dietary restrictions are not considered, despite advanced warnings, however you are expected to pay full price for items you are unable to eat. Kids are expected to eat the same set, as there is no kids menu. As the location is very remote, eating elsewhere was difficult if you don’t drive."
