Rataview Cottage and Rata Cottage are situated on the edge of the stunning Paparoa National Park on the South Island's West Coast. Rataview has full 180 degree view of the magnificant coastline and Rata Cottage has partial views from the dining area. The deck at Rataview allows you to enjoy watching the lovely West Coast sunsets. Both units have full kitchen and bathroom facilities, free-to-air channels and mobile access. The property is located near Barrytown, only 12 minutes' drive to the famous Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki and the nearest Cafe - Pancake Rocks Cafe. Greymouth and the closest shops are 26 km to the South.

"I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. It was very quiet, warm and very accessible. Away from the hustle and bustle! The facilities were perfect for our needs. We enjoyed hanging out in the lounge area as there was plenty of room!"

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
