"We enjoyed a comfortable stay with a great view. Surprisingly, there were lots of little thoughtful touches from the owners: homemade biscuits, fruits, chocolates, Antipodes water... which made us feel very well looked after. Unfortunately we could not stay long as we had to dash back to Auckland. We would love to come back and enjoy the proximity of the wild beach as well as a range of restaurants, cafes and bars close by."

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
