In the Main building, guests will find a combination of Family and Queen Deluxe Ensuite rooms with private bath facilities. The Ski Lodge building offers our guests a selection of Double & Twin Rms whilst the private RUAPEHU WING stands as a [5] bedroom accommodation with a fully stocked kitchen, perfect for couples wanting the ultimate privacy or for visiting groups of friends and families. For the enjoyment of our guests, there are multiple activities within the immediate surrounding area including the world renowned Tongariro Alpine Crossing {with a host of beautiful short walks throughout the valley region}, canoeing and river rafting, numerous mountain biking trails, trout fishing and nearby thermal pools. Howard’s Lodge is within proximity to Taupo where you will find a variety of fine restaurants, outdoor cafes, retail shops plus many exciting adventures and activities. "Ottima posizione a 10 min dalla stazione. La camera era pulita (tranne le cornici delle porte), come la cucina che era fornita di tutto quanto. Ottima comunicazione con il personale, che è stato gentilissimo. L'ambiente tenuto molto bene, il salottino veramente bello."
"Le cornici delle finestre non erano molto pulite, e il materasso un po' scomodo. Unico reale problema riscontrato il bagno un po' lontano dalla stanza."

"It is the second time we stayed at this place. We stayed in a twin bed with private bathroom room. Clean and tidy, quiet, and found the access to a guest kitchen great to prepare our own food. They even mailed me a phone charger I forgot at no charge. I would stay there again without hesitation."

"Nice place for a stopover. They upgraded our room, which was much appreciated. Kitchen facilities great, plenty of eateries in Waimarino. All in all worth the visit."

"Good location for access to Tongariro Crossing and Tawhai Falls. Has a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of parking. There are a few eating options close by as well - CamoKai takeaways within walking distance and the Station (have to drive to it), plus a nice coffee place called the Beach. The staff were great to chat to also!"
"The bed isn't the most comfortable but it's the same as you'd expect in most mountain lodges."
