"It was one of the best hostels we’ve stayed in. Really well looked after, very clean kitchen, toilet and room. Staff were very nice. Good seating area and an efficient laundry service with all of our clothes coming back nice and fresh. We came in the hottest time of year and had a fan which didn’t do much but that’s about it."

"Everything was great! Especially our host Anna! She helped us with tours and all kinds of information. We will come again. It was as well very clean and safe and it was fun to play with Anna's dog Lola."

"Super friendly owner, beautiful house. I have never seen anything so clean on my travels. It is cleaned and laundry is done every day. The kitchen is extremely clean and has everything you need. The rooms and shower are huge. Towels are provided. You can ask anything and get good, honest advice. There is space to hang up your things. We loved relaxing in the rocking chairs or hammocks. The dog is the icing on the cake; 7-month-old Lola sweetens your day from morning to night. We already miss her and would have loved to stay for a week. Thank you for everything!"

"Quiet and clean accommodation looked after by exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. Has a functional kitchen and comfortable communal garden. Located a 6 minute walk from the cathedral/'centro'. I was so impressed that I extended my stay twice. Places of this quality and at this price point are rare. Honestly, an excellent hostel that I will gladly recommend."

"Great hostel, super reasonably priced, great location, our room was very spacious and the kitchen was decently equipped. Everything was also really clean and the host was lovely and accommodating plus an extra bonus was Lola the cutest hostel puppy."

"Staying at Hostal El Sol was honestly one of the highlights of my time in León. It’s a simple place, but truly special. Super close to the center, very clean, calm, comfortable and the mattress is excellent. What really makes the difference, though, are the hosts. Ana and Lola (the cute, little dog) are amazing and make you feel instantly welcome. I originally stayed for one night, but ended up coming back because I felt so at home and completely relaxed there. Also, the patio is perfect for spending the evening outside, relaxing and playing with Lola. If you’re looking for a cozy, peaceful place to stay in León, this is it! :)"
