Etendeka Mountain Camp

"Posto magnifico, abbiamo trascorso due notti, una volta sul posto abbiamo scoperto che se si vuole stare 3 notti c'è la possibilità di dormire una notte in ognuno dei 3 campi tendati distanti una decina di km. uno dall'altro in modo da visitare l'area ancora meglio."

"La posizione è fantastica, l’ospite ha l’opportunità di ammirare paesaggi incredibili all’interno della riserva di Etendeka senza nessuno attorno per km e km. La tenda e il bagno all’aperto sono stupendi. Lo staff è stato molto attento e professionale. C’è l’opzione di dormire in un campsite aperto sotto le stelle in un panorama unico ma questo si trova in un’altra area rispetto al camp principale e bisogna prenotare in anticipo (non è spiegato molto bene sul sito)."

"Le opzioni per pranzo e cena sono molto limitate (si tratta di un buffet di 3 insalate per pranzo e un piatto unico con contorno e dolce per cena). Il sistema di check-in alle 16 e check out alle 7.45 dovrebbe essere rivisto per permettere maggiore flessibilità (noi abbiamo chiamato per chiedere di poter entrare prima e ci sono venuti incontro)."

"È il posto perfetto se vi piacciono l’avventura e la natura. Il camp si trova letteralmente in mezzo a niente, è a bassissimo impatto ambientale, ma non per questo bisogna rinunciare alle comodità. Le attività proposte (es. morning walk, scenaric drive, stargazing) sono da svolgere insieme al gruppo con cui arrivate, così come i pasti. Si creano bellissime occasioni di scambio (culturale e non) che difficilmente potrebbero avvenire in altri contesti. Il proprietario e tutto lo staff sono davvero incredibili, sempre propensi ad aiutarti e a soddisfare ogni esigenza. Fatevi un regalo e soggiornate qui se volete visitare la regione del Damaraland!!"

"Good home cooked food. The tents were comfortable and the bucket shower, to my surprise, was quite adequate. Our guide was knowledgeable and we both were pleased that we were persuaded to do the walks. This is a wonderful place to stay in a superb landscape. Good game viewing as well."

"The location was absolutely fabulous quite amazing scenery delicious food and the staff were lovely and very knowledgeable We loved our stay and really enjoyed talking to the owner Dennis who had some brilliant stories and also told us a lot about the stars !"

"The location and the concept of glamping in Namibia in a beautiful part of the country. Friendly staff and the owner who shares stories during breakfast / lunch / dinner. The meals were really really tasty; everyone eats at the same time and at the same table which makes that you connect with fellow travelers."

"The strong wind ! Apparently the Western wind is relatively common. This made it difficult to sleep in our tents."

"We spent a blissful 3 nights at Etendeka Mountain Camp. The camps location is stunning , the tented rooming perfect . Watching the sun rise from the comfort of a cosy bed through our open tent entrance was amazing. The bucket shower , taken under a star filled sky , most memorable. The staff at Etendeka Mountain Camp were so friendly. The food yummy . The star gazing evening was most informative as were the local hikes guided by Glacius that we enjoyed during our stay at the camp . In addition it was lovely chatting informatively with other guests during the evenings."
