"I have been coming to Gypsy Inn for more than a decade because I love the hospitality of this wonderful family. It is a good location if you want to be close to the pier where the boats leave to Inle Lake. The room was spacious with high ceilings and I got clean, white bed sheets and towels. Windows have mosquito nets - I had not a single mosquito in my room. You can book tours and busses to Bagan or Yangon / Mandalay at the reception. The room rates are among the best in town and it used to be THE guesthouse backpackers hung out at before NyaungShwe was flooded with hotels. Nowadays many hotels are closed but the Gypsy is still up and running. If you are on a budget and look for a familiar atmosphere then come here."
"All fine as usual. What I do not like are people complaining about that the bus booked at the hotel took longer than communicated or that there are electricity cuts. You pay a low price so no not expect generators running 24/7 - especially not with these high gasoline prices. This is Burma - be flexible!"

"C'est proche du canal pour prendre le bateau le patron nous a aidé à trouver un batelier pour un prix descent afin de visiter le lac. Les chambres sont confortables et bon marché en plus on a une salle de bain privée. Nous sommes proche de la Grand-Rue où il y a beaucoup de petits restaurants."

"Приехали в 6 утра. Нас встретили. Мы оставили вещи и уехали на экскурсию. Персонал очень дружелюбный, всегда готовы помочь. Есть сотрудник, который говорит по-русски. Везде чисто, бельё свежее, вода горячая, кондиционер. Дают шампуни и зубную щётку. Помогли с билетами на автобус и заказом такси. Wi-fi хороший."

"I had a wonderful stay here. The breakfast is excellent and keeps you full for the entire day. There are also a few supermarkets nearby, which is very convenient. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding hospitality. The manager, Hsu Lae, and Ye Myint went above and beyond to help me when I needed it. Because of them, I would definitely choose this accommodation again."

"I was honestly impressed by the quality I received for such an affordable price. My room was very clean and had everything a solo traveler needs. The shared bathroom was cleaned regularly and the hotel was also very quiet, making it easy to relax and rest. One of the absolute highlights was the restaurant on the top floor. The breakfast buffet included in the price was fantastic! There was a wide variety of options. I also tried dinner there one evening, and it was very affordable and incredibly delicious. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. As a foreign traveler, I needed assistance booking a bus to my next destination, and they handled everything for me. They organized the bus ticket and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Overall, I had a really great stay at this hotel. It’s a very good, budget-friendly option, especially for foreigners arriving late in Yangon who prefer to stay closer to the airport rather than going all the way into the city center."
