"La camera è davvero essenziale, non proprio pulita e poco curata. Una notte ha piovuto e ci siamo svegliati con l’acqua in camera, i bagagli completamente bagnati, i libri rovinati. Per fortuna le macchine fotografiche erano al sicuro. Dista massimo 15 minuti in auto dal centro. Occorre un mezzo proprio per muoversi o si chiama un Tuk Tuk."

"Silent Oasis was our favorite homestay in Sri Lanka! We loved the quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of central Ella, as well as the view of the jungle and tea fields. The family was so sweet and made the best breakfast we had on our travels. Also, the curry they made us for dinner was delicious! The bed was comfy and big, giving the room a hotel feel. They helped us arrange a Tuktuk and gave us great recommendations. It was also a perfect starting point for hiking Ella Rock. We also took a cooking class nearby at Honey Café, which we highly recommend. We would love to come back at some point!"

"This home stay was amazing. Great family. I ate there in the evenings and had breakfast too. The quality was amazing, all freshly cooked. I loved it all. The terrace is lovely, all you can hear are the birds and the monkeys…I really enjoyed my stay there and booked 2 extra nights."

"There was no drinking water in the rooms when we arrived and everything from the kettle had to be asked. The bathing soaps were quite small. Did not get hot warm for a bath in the evening on day 1 though day 2 was great. Because of solar, hot water takes time to come."

We had many questions but the owner mostly did not reply to the messages which made it really difficult for us to even find a water bottle, initially. His family is sweet and would try to help in their capacity."

"Everything! The room was spacious and we had the most comfortable beds in Sri Lanka. The family are the sweetest and Amila went above and beyond to make our stay superspecial. Make sure you do the tour with him, especially if you want to see non-touristic amazing secret places. We are not fans of busy places and he took us to waterfalls and viewpoints where no-one was around, a truly memorable experience."
