"Clean with friendly family and nice sri lankan breakfast"

"Location was awful. Sits between a Very busy, noisy road (difficult to cross) and a train track/level crossing with noisy alarm bell and trains passing. The beach in the photo is difficult to access, via a dirt strewn track, and very small. The room we were given had no glass in bathroom window so train noise not blocked out, the bathroom needs some work (broken glass shelf, no soap, shower hard to work and not shown how until we complained, tiny towel) The room had broken glass in window and no mosquito net (he provided a pop up one after we mentioned broken glass), and aircon unit electrics hanging out of wall (although it did work). No bin in room/bathroom, no safe, no water offered. We messaged to say we would leave a day early but they claimed not to receive it and charged us for both nights and a breakfast that was meant to be included in price. Left us with sad feeling that we were taken as fools. So disappointed."

"Firstly, the beautiful garden and fruit growing from the trees were amazing (and delicious)! The house was open and inviting, Chaminda and his family were incredibly welcoming and anything we needed was on hand. They kept us well fed, cool and always helped us find our way and gave us tips for traveling the coast. Plus, our room had an aircon and fan which kept us cool and the mosquitoes at bay. We had the opportunity to stay in many lovely spots around Sri Lanka, but were so blessed to have spent time at this accommodation with such lovely people."

"Location is perfect, ten minute drive from ahangama. Small and intimate beach right opposite the property. The nature in the house is stunning , so many beautiful animals all around. The host family always made sure we were happy, and always gave us fresh fruit from their garden"

"The host family were the loveliest we have met in Sri Lanka, going the extra mile to ensure we had a nice stay: They gave us fresh juice on arrival, provided transport if we needed, showed us the local turtles and where to go for a sunset swim, just across the road! They were very accommodating to provide breakfast at the time that suited us and the food was delicious! The room was well equipped with air con, mosquito net, wardrobe, towel rail and there is a nice balcony and living area just for their guests as well as private entrance if you prefer. Their daughter speaks great English as well and we had a lovely evening cooking together with them learning how to make traditional Sri lankan dishes! They have a beautiful garden with so many fruits and wildlife - we saw monkeys in the tree! The location was great, just outside the busy Unawatuna but right off the main coastal highway so really easy to get up or down but much quieter beaches."

"La gentillesse des hôtes, le magnifique jardin où nous avons vu des singes, des paons etc... l'emplacement idéal à 50m d'une plage magnifique et peu fréquentée où nous avons fait du snorkeling. Les petits déjeuners très bons et compris dans la chambre. Ils sont egalement venus nous récupérer a l'aéroport . Le logement est près d'un arrêt de bus pour se déplacer facilement"
