HUHURU House

"tutto davvero stupendo, tutti i comfort di cui avevamo bisogno sono stati soddisfatti. Chamis e Justin sono sempre disponibili a qualsiasi ora, la struttura si trova a 10 min dal “centro” di Watamu, è pulitissima, la piscina viene pulita ogni mattina e anche la cucina è ben fornita. Nel caso avessi dimenticato l’adattatore della presa non ci sono problemi, ce anche l’attacco USB/type C. Può capitare che salti la corrente ma non è una problematica causata dall’alloggio ma bensì che riguarda tutta Watamu, anzi in quei casi accenderanno il generatore di corrente!"

"La struttura fantastica, pulita e ben arredata. Mi sono riposata in questo luogo magico. Mi è dispiaciuto dover lasciare questo posto. Host e personale gentili , premurosi e sempre attenti che tutto andasse bene. Il luogo anche se leggermente distante dal centro ( non così tanto) è ubicato in delle viuzze dove sono presenti strutture similari è possibile fare anche una passeggiata lungo mare o via strada per sgranchirsi o eventualmente ricorrere alle moto taxi. Supermercato vicino. Ci ritornerei!"

"The accommodation is beautiful and I had a lovely stay. The area is very quiet and even though it's not quite at the beach, you can easily walk there. I enjoyed a swim in the pool every night and slept very well in my comfy bed. The host, Justin, is very friendly and even showed me around Watamu. I definitely recommend staying there!"

"There is no breakfast, lunch or dinner at the accommodation. As there is a communal kitchen, this is not a problem but people should know as this must've changed recently."

"This was an amazing place with a beautiful outdoor pool and garden. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They assisted us in arranging transportation and gave us many great recommendations. Our room was stylish and modern. The staff truly tried to make our stay memorable, and we loved our time there."

"There were a few electricity cuts, which wasn’t the fault of the property, but it did mean that one night we were without air conditioning and running water (the water supply was connected to the electricity). Despite that, we had a great time and would happily come again!"

"Lovely place, that we had completely to ourselves. Staff were so kind, and gave proper information about what to do/see in the area. The swimmingpool was a bliss. Nice setting with all the plants in the garden. Nice sunbeds. It was also great to have a record player and board games, and skip the TV and modern technology."

"I truly enjoyed my stay at this house in Watamu. The location is excellent—quiet and peaceful. The houseboy, Khamisi, was always very helpful whenever I needed assistance, and the host, Justin, was also great at briefing me about the place. The cleanliness of the house stood out the most, along with a perfectly functioning bathroom equipped with a flushing toilet and warm shower. Appreciated by the parent with 4yrs girl who does not like cold showers. I also greatly appreciated the generator, which was very useful during the frequent power cuts."

"I would suggest that the host add some items to the kitchen. When both rooms are occupied and guests want to cook, the utensils are not sufficient. For example, a frying pan and cooking pots would be useful. I also really missed having a coffee machine or at least a stovetop kettle — that would be a great addition. The toilet in my room was not flushing properly, and the bathroom door also needs some maintenance, as it was not closing well."

"The property was exactly as described on Booking. Huhuru House is a comfortable and peaceful place to relax and chill in Watamu. Also the staff is good, especially the groundskeeper Khamis was kind and always available for help! Truly recommended for a stay in Watamu!"

"Unfortunately the road to reach HuhuruHouse is not well maintained, so it is not that easy for a car to pass through. Motorbikes are better. By the way it is still 10’ by car/motorbike from the city center so not that far away. During our 5 days in Huhuru House we had a few inconvenient with the Wi-Fi and electricity shut down for a day. Fortunately, Khamis the groundskeeper managed to run the power through a generator to make it work shortly. Lastly, sometimes in the morning you can hear birds or dogs. It was not a problem for us, but still."

"I loved the house and the team! Everything was cleaned and looked well maintained. The guys were very helpful and provided us anything we needed to make our stay great: beach towels, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, etc. They offered us a delicious breakfast for a fair price. Highly recommended"
