Nonna Milli

"Il nostro soggiorno da Nonna Milli è stato davvero speciale. Elia e Yurie sono persone splendide, gentili e sempre disponibili e grazie alla loro accoglienza ci siamo sentite subito a casa. È raro trovare una cura così sincera verso gli ospiti. La camera era molto pulita e confortevole e l’atmosfera dell’intera casa, in stile giapponese. trasmette calore e tranquillità. È stato un posto perfetto in cui riposarci durante il viaggio e abbiamo apprezzato tanto anche i piccoli dettagli che rendono il tutto più piacevole e accogliente. Siamo ripartite con un po’ di nostalgia, segno che il tempo trascorso lì ci ha fatto davvero bene. Consigliamo senza esitazioni Nonna Milli a chiunque cerchi un soggiorno accogliente e autentico, per uscire fuori dal contesto turistico. Consigliato!"

"Le due birre fresche in frigo sono state una piacevole sorpresa! La stanza è meravigliosa, spaziosissima e curata nei dettagli. La colazione è fantastica e la chiacchierata con Elia ci ha fatto sentire davvero accolti e a nostro agio."

"Una casa tradizionale, ristrutturata con tanta cura e dedizione, in cui si respira l’ accoglienza italo-giapponese. Dormire sui futon sui tatami e svegliarsi nel silenzio, nelle stanze con le pareti in carta di riso e i telai in legno resterà un ricordo indimenticabile. Grazie ad Elia per averci accolti, per le birre fredde in frigo e la colazione deliziosa. Posizione consigliata per escursioni verso le Alpi giapponesi e strategica per un viaggio in macchina. Anche senza macchina é comodo muoversi con i mezzi pubblici."

"The food and hospitality was absolutely phenomenal, the beds might have been the most comfortable we've slept on in our lives. Our room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. I'm already craving the dinner we had and will be trying to recreate it back home. This was easily the most comfortable stay we've had in the two times we've been to Japan."

"The interior of the house was well kept and beautiful. The breakfast provided was delicious and just what we needed to start the day. Our Japanese was very limited so having the owner have great English was also very nice. Having stayed on tatami mats elsewhere throughout our trip it was also nice to be provided some extra padding as an option as I tend not to be super comfortable on regular ones. Overall it would have been nice to stay longer but the time we had with Elia was great!"

"My family stayed one night in this wonderful newly renovated traditional Japanese house. We enjoyed it very much! The futon beds were very comfortable (firm but not too hard) and warm, and the breakfast (toast with egg, yogurt, strawberry jam, nuts, banana and coffee) was delicious. Thank you, Elia, for giving us the opportunity to stay in your house and to experience a bit of local tradition. 😃"

"The walls are a bit thin, so you will hear passing cars at night. But this is too be expected from the traditional building style."

"One of the best accommodation on our Japan trip. Elia and Yurie did a great job. Highly recommended for all of those who want to stay in a beautiful traditional Japanese house. Elia is an Italian Chef and offers delicious dinner too. We arrived initially by train and the host offered a transfer from Matsumoto train station. The next day we took the bus for the city and back, which was quite easy as the nearest bus station is located just about 20 Meters from Nonna Milli. (300 yen one way). Breakfast was very delicious, European style with real Italian coffee. We recommend to stay at least 2 or 3 nights as there are so many things to to do and to visit in the surroundings."

"Great Japanese home stay, beautiful room with Futons and Tatami floors. Comfortable mattress available if you struggle with a futon. Elia the host provides breakfast and can also provide dinner. He and his wife are both chefs and the food was great. Nice place to stay in Matsumoto away from the big hotels. Recommended."

"Amazing rooms one for sleeping and one living room very spacious! Great to discover the traditionnal house of Japan! The hosts were amazing and very helpfull giving us many recommendations on public transport and places to visit in the town !! Overall my favorite stay of my trip I will definitely try to book again if I visit Matsumoto again"

"Nothing I dissliked the only downside is that the guest house is located a bit out of the city so the public transportation was not the best but this is also nice to be out of the city in more calm area"
