"Is a beautiful chalet in a good area of Hakuba. Traditional in design and very rustic"
"No central heating, you rely on kerosene heaters and a wood pellet stove. Once they are going the place gets really warm"
"A home away from home, the property had such wonderful character. Extremely comfortable with beautiful features such as a pellet fireplace in lounge room and chefs kitchen with separate dining areas. Extremely spacious with room for suitcases in each bedroom. Great clean amenities with lots of room. A washer and dryer which actually dries clothes the first cycle. Wonderful bath with a view and a toilet on each level. Chika is the best host of a property we have ever stayed at. Extremely accommodating beyond belief, she did wonders for us and made our stay magical. The location was perfect being walking distance to restaurants and minutes drive to ski lifts. Perfection!"

"Fantastic house with a fantastic host. Chika made us feel welcome even before we arrived. Perfect communication about check-in, arrival, etc. We couldn't have asked for a better host. The house is incredible, with all we needed for sleeping, feeling warm, and for cooking food. We were five people renting the house for skiing in Hakuba. The ski shuttle stops basically outside the door, with easy access to both Happo-one and Goryu/Hakuba47. However, not always a bus available, so some walking may be involved, unless you have your own car. We arrived by bus from Nagano, and even if we didn't have our own car, we managed fine with a combination of bus and walking."
