"THE LOCATION IS DELIGHTFULLY QUIET AND THE VIEWS OVER THE WATER BEAUTIFUL - ESPECIALLY AT FIRST LIGHT. RESTAURANT AMBIENCE AND FOOD FIRST CLASS."
"WE WERE FIRST SHOWN TO A ROOM OVER THE SPA IN AN ANNEX WHICH IN NO WAY MET MY EXPECTATION FOR A COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL ROOM. LUCKILY THE HOTEL WERE ABLE TO PUT US IN A COSY TRADITIONAL ROOM IN THE HOUSE. (SUGGEST THOSE BOOKING AND THE HOTEL SHOULD MAKE SURE A GUEST KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE GETTING). HOWEVER THE COSY ROOM LACKED COMFORTABLE (ARM)CHAIRS, WHICH IN MY EXPERIENCE OF HOTELS LIKE THIS THERE IS USUALLY PROVISION - ALLOWING ONE TO TAKE TEA, SIT AND READ ETC IN THE ROOM IF NOT SOCIABLE. HAVING SAID THIS THE DRAWING ROOM WITH ITS FIRE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE."

"It was a bit funny to arrive at 6:30pm, be told the spa closed at 8pm which was also when the last seating was for the restaurant. Not 8:15 but 8pm haha for a table of 2. When we asked for towels at the spa, we were told they had been used by previous greedy guests. We would get them the next day, they assured us, as we sat in the hot tub. A small note that spa room #2 did not have curtains in the bathroom, resulting a real lack of privacy when showering. Small details easily remedied."

"The welcome we received made us all feel very much at home. We had an excellent dinner and a superb breakfast the following morning. The sauna, pool and hot-tub were great."
