"Staff is very friendly and helpful. The setting is tranquil and beautiful. A dense garden a stonethrow from the lakeside. The absolute best thing about Lush was the incredible food. It was of a very high standard, all fresh, beautifully served and full of taste. the best we had in the whole of Guatemala. We came back for lunch and dinner as often as we could. The nearby small nature reserve offers amazing sunbathing and swimming spots! I took part in the Guatemalan sauna temazqual ceremony and could highly recommend it"

"We had a simple room with a shared shower. Nothing was wrong with the room at all, but next time we will book another and slightly larger room. It is often fully booked so book ahead."

"I did see a medium sized spider next to our bed. I had read about seeing insects in this place but honestly I decided to not take this into the review. It's part of the things of being with nature. I liked that the bed came with an mosquito net which is what made me feel safe and slept without paying the spider any mind"

"Amazing Place, close to the reserve and the lake side"

"Ongoing renovations in the hotel: the first night security left a light (powerful) turned on which was entering the room (since the door was actually a shaded glass) and which was pointing directly the bed. Also, at 8am there were strong noises from workers starting to build (either in the hotel or on a nearby property) Staff asked and told them that as a result the night was really uncomfortable, but didn't offer any compensation. The second night security was advised to turn off the light and I could finally sleep"

"This was the second room we stayed in at the property and felt it was much better value for money than the more expensive room. The beds were comfortable and the room felt very private."

"Its a wonderful hotel. Such great taste for decoration. Our room was amazing because it has two rooms, great for couples that have a "sleep divorce" LOL. The view of the room we had is amazing since we had a little terrace. The food is nice. The location is unbeatable. I read comments before coming that there was noise in the room but at least the season (August) we went is was "super super" quiet. I am very picky with noise and it was perfect for rest."

"You have to ask "the reception" for the room to be cleaned... its not by default, which I dont like very much. Even though I ask for it to be cleaned the bathroon wasnt very clean. So I specifically asked the second day to take care of the shower and it wasnt cleaned. But honestly its a very small detail. The hotel in general is amazing and the owner is fantastic."
