"This establishment is located in a beautiful setting in a secluded corner of the Rio Dulce. It's easily accessible from Livingston or Rio Hondo by boat, either with a shared boat that runs twice a day or by private boat. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful in helping me find a boat, as I was arriving a bit late from Puerto Barrios. It's about a 25-minute boat ride from Livingston and 45 minutes from Rio Hondo, and the trip is beautiful. The setting is magnificent: the jungle, the river. The "Villa" room where I stayed is huge and beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the river (see photo). It's very well-appointed, spacious, and comfortable. The food at the restaurant is great, and a special mention goes to the cocktail made with homemade coffee liqueur prepared and infused by the owner with a unique recipe. One of the most beautiful places I've stayed, very relaxing, and well worth the trip."

"The property looks exactly like it does in the pictures, which was reassuring, and it’s definitely a great place if you’re looking to relax and be away from everything for a while. The setting is peaceful, and you can really disconnect from the outside world, but there's also good Wi-Fi and hot water. Douglas and Daria live on-site, which means they’re always around and very attentive to anything you might need. They’re incredibly helpful and clearly put a lot of care into the place. There are lots of thoughtful touches, like homemade soap, shampoo, and other natural remedies, which add a unique, personal feel to the stay. The dog Oso is lovely and adds charm to the place."

"Definitely a 10 out of 10! This is such a gem! The best place we stayed in Guatemala and Belize. It's very tranquil on an island on the side of the river. Just 3 rooms, all beautiful, but we were lucky to be able to rent 'the villa' which was very spacious, secluded and nicely decorated. About the food: everything built from scratch and organic.
