"We loved the bulding and all the rooms. We were the only guests on the night we stayed so were able to see all the bedrooms. Nicolas was an extremely friendly and attentive host. The evening meal, cooked by him, using ingredients from his own garden, was delicious. The breakfast was just as good with fresh bread and croissants, home made jam and yoghurts."

"Beautiful house with a swirly whirly staircase. The evening meal, cooked by Nicholas was lovely. The communal experience of our table d'hôte was novel and enjoyable. Nicholas was welcoming and friendly, and catered to all our needs throughout our stay. Loved the blue peacock room!"

"Everything from the moment we met our host Nicolas far exceeded anything we could have wished for. Sadly we were only there for a short 3 day mini break. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Nicolas prepared us an amazing dinner on our first night. His breakfast are outstanding, all home made produce, jam with a little help from his mum's secret recipe. Real coffee! Incredibly attentive host. We will return with friends next time"

"What a find! This is a beautiful richly-decorated peaceful countryside hotel in gorgeous lush grounds. Our sumptuous room had a four poster bed and roll top bath overlooking the garden. Amaury was a wonderful host.. so friendly, helpful, interesting and interested. Fantastic good value stopover about an hour from Calais."

"Beautiful centuries old mansion. Tastefully decorated and furnished in art deco style with period furniture. A real delight. Nicholas could not be a more attentive host. Comprehensive continental breakfast with freshly prepared coffee. Table d' hote available on request of superb quality. Nicholas is a very good cook."

"A very minor detail. I would have liked this to appear after the "what we liked"! English people would like the ability to make tea and coffee in their room, especially on waking in the morning."
