"Tutto e’ stato perfetto oltre le aspettative. E’ un posto magico in un luogo incantevole. Le zone comuni e la camera sono curati nei minimi particolari. Gli oggetti, quadri lampade tappeti, sono selezioni con cura e attenzione, sono sofisticati e eleganti e ti danno la sensazione di essere a casa. Il giardino e’ incantevole, tranquillo e riservato; un oasi di pace dove viene svolta la colazione e volendo l’aperitivo. Il servizio e’ stato puntuale, attento ai minimi particolari, il proprietario ci ha dato consigli sui ristoranti, le passeggiate in bici e tutto ciò che si poteva fare. Un luogo dove tornerò sicuramente e consiglierò agli amici"

"Le Lanternon is a hidden jewel, curated to perfection by its wonderful and warm owner, Jerome. The building itself is very beautiful, with parquet floors high ceilings and many original features. Jerome has taken much care and effort to restore it, while also providing every comfort you may require. Breakfast each morning was delicious, served on beautiful hand made pottery. Coffee, tea and water on tap and an honour bar. The rooms are spacious, peaceful and cool. It’s best to think of it as a lovely private home to which you are invited to stay, rather than an unoriginal five star luxury hotel. To come with that expectation is to miss the point entirely. We have now stayed there for two years running and intend to make a regular annual pilgrimage. It could not be in a better location, right in the heart of St Martin, a charming port village with great restaurants and shops."

"We had a garden room with a mezzanine floor which was beautiful but very hot making it a challenge to sleep well. There was a fan. The age of the building probably means AC is not an option but would have been welcome. This issue was only a small set back to our stay."

"The 5pm check in is quite late & hotel only staffed until 8pm it would be nice to be able to have a drink in the lovely bar area when you return from dinner."

"This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Incredibly stylish and comfortable. The location is fantastic, very central and close to all the restaurants and shops. Jérôme is a great host and is there for any questions or advice you need. Our room was really well laid out and could be in a magazine. Interior decorations overall are very imaginative and well sourced. We enjoyed reading and hanging out in the salon area. Very comfortable. We highly recommend."

"St Martin is a pedestrianised town and there is virtually no parking anywhere in the centre. However, there is paid parking a 3 minute walk away and free parking 10 minutes away. We unloaded our luggage in front of the hotel then used the free parking. It was really easy in the end."

"Nothing at all! I have read some of the other recent reviews and have some concern that visitors haven't realised that this is a guest house rather than a hotel. If you want room service, air conditioning, daily fresh towels and a 24 hour lobby service it probably best to go elsewhere. If you want a relaxed, unstructured holiday home, with an easy going host then this is clearly more you thing."
