"Breakfast was good with a nice choice of things to eat. The location was ideal for my visits to Saint Emilion and Bergarac. I also opted to have meals in the evenings and they were all lovely and interesting."

"If you enjoy... welcoming hosts, lively conversation, very tasty home-cooking, a charming old country home with lots of character, interesting artworks, animals (multiple and various!), non-manicured gardens with whispering bamboos and yodelling green tree frogs ... then Le Peyrail awaits you! It's a unique and enjoyable experience which I recommend and will definitely repeat, but if the above DOESN'T appeal, a generic hotel chain might just suit better..."

"C'est un écrin de calme et de verdure. La propriété est vraiment très joli, plein de verdure et pleins de petits endroits où se reposer au calme. J'ai aimé cet endroit caché. J'ai vraiment aimé le jardin, la piscine, les animaux des propriétaires etc... L'accueil était très chaleureux et sympathiques. Nous avons profité d'un très bon repas et d'un petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux. Nous y avons fait des rencontres très sympathiques. Le lit est original et très confortable. Merci pour tout."

"Lovely place - I was caught out camping by a storm and traveling early in the season no sites were yet open anyway. this popped up and worked out beautifully - wish I could have stayed longer! A very cozy place"

"The property was unlocked so we just went in - there are still rural places where you can do that! The location was a rural village in a beautiful area with Lizard Orchids growing opposite the gite. We could sit outside which was in shade later in the day (which, at 38 degrees, we needed!) or sit down in the meadow across the road near to a stream - there was a barbecue here which was for guests use. The gite was spacious and facilities good. The water is drinkable from the tap. The village doesn't have a shop, but you can get groceries from Lalley or Chatillon-en-Diois, and there is an excellent restaurant in nearby Grimone. It is a quiet area with little traffic - bliss! Lots of walking trails and good cycling. The property was easy to find - it's the first track on the left as you enter the village from Grimone."

"Het appartement was smaakvol ingericht en het zwembad was schoon en netjes. De auto stond voor de deur op eigen terrein. Er werd goed rekening gehouden met de privacy. Goede uitleg over de werking van alle dingen. Bij aankomst kregen we fruit uit eigen tuin."

"The owner when I could eventually check in at 6pm was very kind and helpful and welcoming and even helped me with my very heavy suitcase. The apartment is sweet self contained with hot shower and very comfy bed. Lovely and quiet, I extended my stay and used my own towel."
