"Chateau Montautre is a truly hidden gem, a castle from the 1400’s with roots in Roman times, and way before that. The rooms are spartan yet comfortable, and give one the idea of living two or more centuries back ( with central heating, excellent shower and all necessary modern amenities) Serge, the host, provided a wonderful evening experience, together with other guests at a long table, we all wined and dined and had wonderful discussions."

"L'appartamento è carino ed ha lo stretto indispensabile per un breve soggiorno, posizione veramente ottima e vicina al centro, ai mezzi di trasporto e al mare. La stanza è molto fresca essendo un semi-interrato, ma volendo c'è anche l'aria condizionata e il ventilatore; attenzione solo alle zanzare nel patio, consiglio di portare spray repellenti. Ci si può preparare un pasto veloce e c'è anche la macchinetta del caffè. La doccia e il bagno non avevano problemi, inoltre gli asciugamani e la carta igienica sono inclusi."
"It was a very lovely decorated Appartment, everything was clean and functional. There was even some tea and other stuff in the kitchen to use for free. Location was perfect and it was a nice stay during rainy day. Blanket on the bed was large enough for two persons to share, even though we traveled as friends."

"The apartment was spotlessly clean, quiet, secure and had all the facilities required. The location was convenient for the beach at La Terriere and the restaurants and shops in La Tranche Sur Mer. There is a very handy free bus if you don't want to walk to either location. We fully enjoyed our stay."
