"Charming country hotel with restaurant, bar, terrace and garden. Our room on the top floor was comfortable with ensuite facilities, walk in shower. Dinner was excellent, breakfast was adequate. Ample parking around the back."

"Being on the top floor, there were several staircases both up and down just to go up. The perils of old repurposed buildings! We were told this was the only room with a walk In shower. We live and learn!"

"A beautiful quaint property with quirky stairs, etc. The room was perfect and comfortable, and well equipped. The welcome from the staff was very good, and they looked after us very well. The meal in the restaurant was outstanding, and once again the staff were very welcome and attentive. Similarly with the breakfast. Overall, it was a wonderful stopover and we hope to be able to go again soon."

"This is a place which we have discovered 3 years ago and we are visiting this hotel each year for a couple of nights.It is in a small village which you can hike or bike. Sit at the terrace of the hotel and have your drink with only the voice of the nature. If you are looking for a quiet place with great foot , then this is the location. The dinner is amazing. Menu is changing seasonally I believe and chef is creating miracles. The hotel restaurant is worth to change the route."

"Hotel du Roy is in a lovely village. It offers very good value for money, especially the 30 euro set menu. The staff, without exception, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room, recently refurbished, had some nice designer touches. I felt very welcome."

"Location - Staff- breakfast - dinner This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel A perfect location for a 2-3 day escape. Close to cities like Auxerre - Dijon - Beaune. The restaurant is something you will not expect from the location and also the hotel which small like that but the foods that has been prepared by the chef is something that should not be missed. We had 3 dinner in this resaturant and tried everything. There is no plate that is average. They are all beyond the expectations. The staff are great and helpful all the time. We are looking forward to visit the hotel again. Most probably after the summer."
