"We came to Guamote to see the markets and stayed in this lovely hotel As the Guamote is small, it's easy to walk from the hotel to everything. The room was good, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower worked well, and we were very content with what we got. There was good WiFi throughout the hotel. The downstairs area had plenty of places to sit and relax, and the staff were very accommodating. There is another quite expensive hotel in the town but I think we picked the best one."

"We had a room facing the main road and was really nice apart from the night before the market. On that night , there was a lot of traffic and it was quite noisy. However, the rest of the rooms are not facing the road, so I guess you would simply have to ask for one of those rooms."

"Good communication, good receival, nice little room with ok bedding and some nice windows. The place is cozy and they lit the wood stove at night. The Thursday market is highly recommended!"

"Watch out with parking your car in the space they designate for you, if it's Thursday morning they will fill it up with other cars! Either keep it on the street or move it 6am!"

"Das Haus hat wie fast alle in Ecuador sehr dünne Wände und ist daher insbesondere zur kalten Jahreszeit ziemlich kühl. Aber die Lage für den Markt ist perfekt und Hilfsbereitschaft wird absolut groß geschrieben. Man kann alles erlaufen. Gegenüber ist ein unbewachter Parkplatz, wir hatten aber nie das Gefühl einer Unsicherheit, auch abends im Ort kann man ohne Probleme herumlaufen. Restaurants sind Mangelware und es gibt nur sehr einfache Möglichkeiten."

"L'hôtel était très bien et surtout la propriétaire est très gentille. Douche très bien avec eau chaude, lit confortable. Le petit déjeuner était pas mal, mais c'est quand-même un supplément de 4$ alors que la chambre était déjà à 16$"

"Le prix est quand même bien cher à 16 $ plus 4$ de petit déjeuner, pour une ville aussi sinistre, comparé aux hôtels aussi bien à moins de 10 $ à Cuenca où Banos. Je n'y suis venu que pour le marché, mais ça n'en vaut pas le coup du tout. Surtout il ne faut pas arriver le soir. Mon bus est arrivé avec 2h de retard à 10pm et les rues étaient complètement désertes, sauf plein de chiens errants qui vous aboient dessus. Tout était fermé , résultat, je n'ai pas dîné. Et à l'hôtel, j'étais le'seul client."
