"Reception were excellent in assisting with any queries we had, they also arranged some wine tours for us and they sold drinks & bottles of wine. We used the hot tub one day with a couple of glasses of wine - it was bliss. Great security."

"Safe, secure, peaceful place to stay and relax. A good location for visiting wineries. Good restaurants are within short walking or driving distance. Supermarkets and coffee shop are within walking. Free parking, good wifi, excellent breakfast, laundry service, comfortable bed and very clean. Room service was done daily. Those working at reception were friendly, patient (while we Google translated to Spanish), and helpful. The grounds were tastefully decorated with gardens to give the feel of a tropical setting. The property was gated and monitored. There was a nice pool with loungers and umbrellas, Two hot tubs and a spa that provided massage therapy. Even though we were in town, it was quiet. You cannot beat the price for staying at this establishment. Breakfast was a buffet of fruit, yogurt, cheese, meats, breads, cereals, plus you could have eggs cooked fresh to your liking. Coffee and tea was available anytime. A very comfortable place to stay."

"Casa Calfu is ideally situated in a quieter part of Santa Cruz, but walking distance to the centre where there are shops, restaurants, a street market and a superb museum. The rooms are small, but comfortable, with good sized bathrooms and quiet AC units. The pool area is great, the best we’ve experienced in Chile. The breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Everything. The quiet location, close to shops and good restaurants. Helpful and nice staff. Delicious breakfast (they provided gluten free bread to my celiac husband). We'd stay there again!"

"Nothing really. We just wonder whether the rooms we'll be a bit depressing during winter. They don't have much light. During summer they are quite fresh. We were there during a heat wave and did'n use the A/C. You spent time outside by the swimming pool or at the small terrace outside the room which is quite nice, private and surrounded by greenery. I wonder how it would be during the winter months though."
