- Award-winning Buffelsdrift Lodge offers free-standing tents with views of the Klein Karoo's Swartberg Mountains and a wildlife watering hole. Activities include game drives, night drives, meerkat safaris, elephant excursions, lion feeding experience, and free-roaming cheetah experience. A private outdoor shower, en-suite bathroom and minibar are featured in each air-conditioned, luxury tent. Some tents have a wooden deck set right by the water’s edge. An outdoor pool overlooks the waterhole. Rhinos, giraffes and hippos may be seen, and within a 10-minute drive are an ostrich farm and Cango Caves. This malaria-free game reserve has free WiFi in public areas. Situated at the waterside is one of the best a La Carté restaurants in the Southern Cape, where award-winning wines and Karoo cuisine made from fresh, local produce is served. Alongside the restaurant is a shaded deck from which spectacular views of the Swartberg mountains can be enjoyed and even hippos, Elephants, other wildlife, and bird species that visit the waterhole frequently can be spotted. Room service and a shuttle service are also available on request. Set 6.5 km from Oudtshoorn, Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is located just off Route 62. There is free parking on site and a shuttle is available on request from George Airport, 71 km away.

"Avete presente vivere un sogno? Questa struttura ne rispecchia tutte le emozioni. Un’immensa riserva privata dove vivere in lussuose tende dotate di ogni confort e in compagnia di dolcissimi ospiti…dalle tartarughe, agli impala, alle gazzelle, ecc… Abbiamo viaggiato tanto, visto tantissime strutture ma la perla di questa location è la vasca da bagno con vista impareggiabile."
"Siamo venuti dal Kruger ed il Safari offerto dalla struttura non ci ha sodisfatto pienamente perché abbiamo avuto modo di vedere solo giraffe, zebre, ippopotami oltre agli ospiti “fissi” che si incontrano già tra le tende."

"A beautiful lodge located right by the edge of a waterhole, where friendly gazelles wander between the huts. Three hippos live in the water, and safaris can start directly from the property several times a day — we even saw a rhino. The kids were thrilled. The food is excellent."
