"In camera (eravamo in 3) non c'era spazio per i nostri 3 bagagli da 10 kg, che abbiamo dovuto lasciare fuori dalla camera stessa.... Forse non c'è abbastanza spazio per un armadio, ma vorrei suggerire di mettere al muro dei ganci per appendere le varie cose, e magari 2,3 mensole."

"Contesto meraviglioso, in mezzo alla natura, la host, Odelba, è una persona eccezionale che prepara colazioni spaziali. Offre un utilissimo servizio lavanderia e ti supporta nell'acquisto di servizi per visitare l'isola. Ci siamo trovate molto bene"

"Unica pecca è stata la pulizia del bagno, non so se per dimenticanza o altro, non era stato pulito. Sul lavello c'erano ancora i peli della barba dell'inquilino precedente e puzzava un po' di urina.. sorvolabile se si pensa alla bellezza del posto..."

"Staff is super helpful and kind! They helped with everything (hikes, scooter, laundry, snacks) and their attitude created very good atmosphere. Wonderful hospitality! They also cleaned the room and changed the linens and towels everyday, which hasn't been that usual in similar places based on my experience."

"Rooms are quite basic and you can hear everything from the next door. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time on my own so that was not a big issue in my case."

"Small hotel with friendly owner and staff. Clean , comfortable, good Wifi , chill out space and situated close to the main road of Balgue . The owner organised a tour guide for maderas volcano hike and also arranged a taxi to pick us up to go to moyogalpa . Great spot !"

"The staff here are so lovely! From the minute we arrived we were told “our house is your house”, they were always so warm and friendly with every interaction. The room was simple and rustic as expected, no issues. Mosquito net was handy as being in nature there are a few creepy crawlies around. In the communal area there was a shared kitchen, several hammocks and a bookshelf. The staff emptied the bathroom bin daily and turned down our room on day 3 and provided fresh towels which was nice. The location was great, a short walk from the main street of Balgue (accessible by bus). The petroglyph area was further up the same street which was handy."

"Not the hostel’s fault but we hired a scooter through their connection and while we had no issues with the scooter itself, they “forgot” to bring us our change and I’m not sure if we were overcharged, our fault for not being more on top of it."

"Odelba was the one of the most friendly hosts we have had in our travels! She made us feel at home, her home is our home, and we had an amazing stay. It was great value for money, the room was nice with very good mosquito nets. The kitchen was good with good equipment to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. Odelba was also helpful with recommendations and booking things to do on the island, and shops to buy food from. The location was also very good in Balgue."

"Really lovely local staff (not volunteer-rude) Situated right on the water Nice hammocks provided Basic cooking facilities but hostel wasn’t crowded."

"A little hard to locate from the path. (Next door to jaguar hostel) Ask ferry to drop you straight to the hostel. Our room (4) the door would only open 1/2 way. Apparently a guest broke it & it was getting fixed. I’m not overly tall but when I sat on the toilet my knees were pressed hard against the bathroom wall (not sure if this is the same for all of the rooms)"

"Odelba was so welcoming - “my casa is your casa” she said as she gave us a cool welcome drink. Beautiful setting, chill out on the hammocks, rooms are basic but good for the $$, a lovely natural spring 10 mins walk from the house. Odelba happily organised transport etc for us. We loved our time here!"

"Great to be able to use it for our own cooking, but the Kitchen needed a good clean."
